Ir2bt Infrared to Bluetooth converter for PS3

I wanted to know if there was any way to rig the ir2bt to learn different ir signals than the ones that it is originally programmed to receive but at the same time deliver the same bluetooth commands as originally intended. The reason for this is because I, like alot of people, have a sony dvd player and the ir codes are the same as the ones for the ps2 which have been ported to the ir2bt, so when I power on my PS3 using my Harmony Remote, I also power on my sony dvd player.

SOURCE: Programming Harmony 880 Remote to Mute with CC on Sony Bravia KDL-40W4100

Do you use a Home Theater receiver along with your televison?  Are other components, such as a DVD player, VCR, Blu-ray player, etc. connected?
If so, it's possible that the Mute function on your remote is muting the sound from your receiver, and not the TV itself.
If that's the case, you'll need to look at the details of the "default" buttons for your activities, and see whether the Mute function is associated with your TV or your receiver.  If it's set for the receiver, you need to change it to be associated with the TV.

Hi. If learning the commands does not work, then you can try learning in RAW mode. To do this:

1. Click 'Learn IR' next to the icon for the device in the software.
2. At the bottom, click 'Custom'.
3. Go through the list of commands, and learn all of the buttons from the original remote by clicking 'Learn Raw'.

Hope that helps :)

What is the code for a yamaha dsp -ax 620receiver codes

PS3 BD remote is Bluetooth, not infra red. Bluetooth and Infra red are two different ways of transmitting signals. They are not cross-compatible. So there's no code to allow a PS3 BD remote to operate any Infra red device becuase the PS3 BD remote does not issue IR commands.

I have a radioshack gamer 15-133 controller and i want to use it on my ps3, how do i?

Hi! Sorry, but this is not possible. The PS3 uses Bluetooth technology for its controllers and remote controls. The Radioshack Gamer Remote 15-133 is an Infrared (IR) device and will only work with specific units that support IR remote controls(PC, Playstation 2/PS2 and XBOX 360.). Click the TECH SPECS tab on this link for more info.
If you are looking for an affordable universal remote that uses both Bluetooth and IR and will control a PS3, there is only one currently available on the market. It is the INTERLINK VP3700 Universal Infrared / Bluetooth Remote Control for PlayStation 3 and it is available at NewEgg.com among other online retailers. Here is the link for it for more information and to order it. Please note, if you click the Feedback tab, the first review written by TV-Tastic, is my review of it. I have had three of these (the first two destroyed by my then one, now two year-old son who chews rubber buttons off everything) and it is a fantastic remote control especially for the money.

The only other Universal Remote option you have is to purchase a Logitech Harmony Remote Control (minimum $75.00) and the additional Logitech PS3 Adapter for the Harmony Remote controls ($45.00) which involves complicated setup and extra piece of equipment for about $115.00.
Good luck.

Remote on my jensen vm9412 dont work check the battery to see if it is in right. just brought radio.

Try this first to see if the remote is sending out the signals. Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

Want to know that which remote willm work for my tv set as its controlling range became very less.i have replaced its remote but invain.so recommened me the best solution for it.

The problem can be in the IR remote receiver inside the TV, but first look at the back of the set for IR REMOTE INPUT JACK (it is the same size as the headphone jack for MP3 player). If it has one, plug the headphone jack in and out 3 ~5 time to clean the switch contact inside this IR REMOTE input jack.
Post back the result becuase the next step will be replacing the IR receiver board inside the TV.

My sensor in the TV for the remote isn't working. Is there a way to reset it?

It may be the IR receiver inside, but look at he back to see if it has a smll jack for External IR jack on the back of the TV, IF it does, try inserting in and out using small headphone jack to activate the switch inside the jack a couple times. You also need to verify that the remote is seding IR signals.

My remote control only works for tv on & off and volume but not to change dish channel

I experienced this problem as well. I have a dual receiver and had issues turning channels on TV2; but counld easily access the volume. After reading the Dish manual, I learned that my TV1 and TV2 remotes connect through different signals (IR = infrared for TV1; and UHF= ultra-high frequency for TV2).

Check your remote to see if there is a UHF logo at the very bottom (under the Dish Network logo). The UHF remote sends ultra-high frequency radio signals to a UHF antenna which is connected to the back panel of the receiver. Make sure that you receiver is properly dusted and then check to make certain that the UHF antenna located on the back of the receiver is positioned straight-up. When the antenna is not correctly positioned it can cause problems with your remote signals.

Logitech Harmony One remote is controlling 2 TiVOs at once.

Please try learning the some commands from one of the original remotes for thr tivo. If this fixes the problem, i suggest that you learn all commands from that remote.

Launch the Logitech Harmony Remote software and login to your account

1. Click on the Devices tab
2. Click on the Learn IR button for the device you want to learn command(s) to.

**NOTE: When learning new commands, there are three different options available:
-You want the Harmony Remote to learn a single command that is already listed in the software
-You want the Harmony Remote to learn more than one command at a time
-You want the Harmony Remote to learn a new command, which is not listed in the software

You want the Harmony Remote to learn a single command that is already listed in the software
a. Click on the Learn button next to the command you want to learn - Proceed to Step 5

You want the Harmony Remote to learn more than one command at a time
a. select one or more commands by clicking on the check box next to the command(s) you want to learn and then
b. click on the Learn Selected Commands button
c. Proceed to Step 5

You want the Harmony Remote to learn a new command, which is not listed in the software:
a. Scroll down to the button of the page
b. In the Learn a New Command box click on the text MyNewCommand
c. enter the name of the command you would like to teach.
d. Click on the (Learn New Command) button
e. Proceed to Step 5

5. Follow the onscreen directions for learning commands, plugging in your Harmony remote when asked and lining up your original remote to the Harmony as illustrated on the screen.
6. When a command is successfully learned, a check mark will appear next to it. If learning more than one command, the software will then prompt you to learn the next command.
7. The commands that were learned should now be identified as from "Your original remote" and highlighted in turquoise.
8. When you have finished teaching the commands, click Done button to save your changes
9. Click on the Update Remote button to update your remote

If this does not work, try :

To teach commands for your Device that did not work properly in normal mode:

1. Click the Devices button on your home page.
2. Select the Device you wish to learn commands to.
3. Select Learn Infrared Commands.
4. Click Custom. The page will reload.
5. Select the boxes for commands you would like to teach, and click Learn Selected as Raw.

NOTE: When teaching each command, press the button on the original remote for as long as required to control the device. The commands will be learned with the exact format that is sent by the original remote.

If you have any trouble teaching the commands in RAW, complete the following steps:

1. Verify you are pointing the original remote at bottom end of your remote, and are holding the remotes 2-4 inches apart.
2. Minimize the amount of light that could interfere with the learning process by covering the distance between the remotes. Block out sunlight, or turn off the lights.
3. Check that you have installed new batteries in the original remote you are trying to use to learn commands. If the batteries are low, the signal coming from your original remote may be too weak for the remote to detect.
4. Be sure to hold down the button on the original remote for at least 1-2 seconds, otherwise the signal may be too short for the remote to process.
5. If you continue to have trouble teaching the commands, start with the remotes 2 inches apart. Then try again with, slightly increasing the distance each time (2.5 inches, 3 inches, etc).
6. Vary the angle at which the original remote is pointing at the bottom of the remote.
7. Ensure the device's original remote is sending infrared (IR) commands.

NOTE: The original remote is sending RF or UHF commands from the original remote if it will control the device from another room, through a wall).

Wireless Headphone not working with my portable DVD player

Firstly, make sure your DVD have built-in IR wireless module so that your headphone can receive the audio signal from your DVD player.

Second, it should be clear which frequency transmitted from your DVD player. Generally speaking, there are two frequency of IR transmitter. One is 2.3MHz/2.8MHz. another is 3.2MHz/3.87MHz. Only emission frequency same as receiver can receive the audio signal.
