Re: Video Recording causing Picture interference
When you are recording, do you hear the vhs tape(motor) moving? Is the tv\vcr combo connected to the same power(electrical) plug with ANYTHING else ? On the SAME wall outlet with anything that generates noise?. Do you have ANYTHING ( electric clock ) WITH a motor connected to the same line\wall\outlet\power adapter?
2nd) Any loose ground [wires that go to any menal part inside TV\VCR will cause problems. Be very carful inside electronics parts and when they are alive [pluged in & turned on], Some times loose VHS rubber bands cause problems by slipping and jerking the tape recording.

One possible cause is that normal recording could not be performed because the heads were dirty at the time of recording. Clean the heads, and perform recording and playback again. If normal playback can be performed, the heads are clean. Before an important recording, be sure to conduct a test recording to make sure that normal recording can be performed.
≥If the heads become dirty soon after cleaning, the problem may be the tape. If so, try another cassette.
≥During playback, the picture or sound may be interrupted momentarily, but this is not a malfunction of the Camcorder. (One possible cause is that the playback is interrupted by dirt or dust that momentarily adheres to the heads.)
What are “Recording modes”? for DVD-RW There are two recording modes available using this recorder: VR mode and Video mode. When recording to a DVD-R disc, recordings are always in Video mode. DVD-RW discs can be formatted for VR mode recording or Video mode recording. VR mode recording • 4 different picture quality/recording time settings available (SP, LP, EP, XP) • Not playable on regular DVD players • Recordings can be extensively edited • Total number of titles on the disc should be less than 99. Video mode recording • 4 different picture quality/recording time settings available (SP, LP, EP, XP) • Playable on regular DVD players (after finalizing) • Limited editing features • Total number of titles on the disc should be less than 99. Note : DVD-Video Format (Video mode) is a new format for recording on DVD-R/RW discs that was approved by the DVD Forum in 2000. You may therefore experience problems playing recordable DVD discs in some players. Symptoms include video artifacts, audio and/or video dropouts and playback suddenly stopping. Our company cannot take responsibility for problems playing discs recorded on this VCR/DVD Recorder in other players.
