I have a ASUS A7V-VM in a HP 7935, it started having boot problems, not recognizing the keyboard or mouse and giving me error messages. Now just shows the HP blue screen with logo. I have disconnected all drives and changed out the power supply and ram memory. Is it the motherboard, bad caps ?
    Thx...rgdedge

Mouse and keyboard not working completly

With your PC off, unplug both the mouse and the keyboard and remount it well. Restart your PC, and
see if both is now working properly. If not, you can reinstall both using the Add hardware wizard of the
control panel. Left click, the setting, control panel,
and finally the add hardware wizard. Just follow the
instruction to get it done.

Foxconn MoBo 947p7aa & keyboard lockup

Check if the processor temperature. ... sounds like that could be the problem. It would cause the computer to FREEZE the moment you start "working" on it because then the processor must do it's thing but it instantly overheats because either the processor cooler fan is'nt functioning correctly or the thermal paste has hardened and no longer offers a "connection" between the processor and the fan

MotherBoard Problem (BIOS)

im not positive this will work for you but in my bios there is a setting for USB keyboard and USB mouse and at one point I had to enable both of those to use my keyboard and mouse during the windows formatting process. Try to find settings like that for USB keyboard and enable them in your bios. If that doesn't work then you will have to use a different keyboard or get a usb to ps/2 converter. you might want to try unplugging your keyboard and then booting and see if it still goes straight into bios. If it doesn't then your keyboard is sending signals without you pressing the keys and that is obviously the issue.

Problem in OS

If you are using the round plugs (PS1) then mouse and keyboard sockets are different, probably keyboard socket is broken.

If you are using usb, and mouse works on same usb port, then keyboard is faulty , even if it works on a different PC, probably a faulty contact inside.

A keyboard is an inespensive part , better buy a new one.

Bios does not find PS2 keyboard/mouse

Did you go into the BIOS and set it to recognize the USB Keyboard after you reset the BIOS? Is windows not noticing it or the BIOS. You stated that it recognized the USB keyboard and then said that it did not.
What does all of this mean? USB keyboard does not activate "del" setup.

If it does not work, it is because you reset the BIOS and did not change the settings back for the USB keyboard.

I hope that I fixed your problem.

Hi FRND,

You need to open the cabinet or PC system after that just have a look at the CMOS battery remove it and start the PC system for 5 to 15 second…
connect the Keyboard and mouse to the system have a look at the LED’s at the right hand side of the keyboard it it flash the power ok from the motherboard try using the replacing one by one … try replace keyboard & mouse might be short in side…
