On a 2005 c50, I have unlocked the tool box cover, but will not come off. Afraid if I force that, something will break in the plastic cover. Seems to be hung up on the right side where it is attached to another piece of black plastic. Also a rubber bushing fell out from behind and cannot tell where it is from since I have not been inside. Something simple to get this cover off without breaking?

While pulling up on the cover, gently press on the battery box sides to determine if detents are holding the cover on. One a detent is pressed away, the cover should come up.
Ensure no connectors are holding the pieces of the battery box together.
There are 5 plastic latches down each side of the back cover. You must use brute force and press near the top with the flat of your palm until the back cover bends inward and pops out of the latch. Start on one side and when you get it going, switch to both sides and use as much force as you need. The cover is very mobile, so don't be afraid of breaking it.
Adjusting the rear shock is a realitively simply process, once you expose the shock.
On the left side of the bike, use your key to remove the tool box cover. Remove the inner cover from the tool box and remove the tools that came with the bike. The tool box itself is held in with 2 - 10 mm hex head screws (which also have philips head slots). Remove the tool box.
Now the rear shock absorber should be visible. Use the spanner wrench and handle extension in your tool kit to make the desired adjustments to the shock absorber.
Reverse the process to put everything back together.
Most flasher relays simply plug in to a plastic base using two or three spade connectors. You should be able to simply pull it straight outwards to remove it. It should not be very tight.
They hide some screws pretty good. Also, try with a putty knife to gently pry arouond the cover seam. Their is always a puzzel to keep end users from DIY.
Should be behind one of your sidecovers. I f you did'nt get a manual w/yor bike then order one from your dealer. It's an invaluable tool....Good luck to you friend....Tim
