Question about Kitchen Ranges
Disassemble the pump by removing the c-shaped ring aroudn the metal cap. a flathead screwdriver will work to pry off the ring.
pull out the pump assembly. The end is probably a old dried out leather ring. It needs oil (car motor oil shoudl be fine) and it needs to make a tight seal.
if it is too loose, it might be possible to press it out to make it wider. If not, it needs to be replaced. The pump assembly is about 8 dollars at many stores.
