No, subsidy is when you're trying to use a different sim card on a locked network. unsuccessfully entering your sim pin too many times results in "enter PUK code"

The subsidy password you are looking for is specific to your phone, you cannot simply use a password that worked for somebody else. The best way to avoid paying Cingular for this password is to unlock your Motorola V220 by downloading software that will circument the need for the subsidy password. This can be found at http://www.cell-unlock.com
or at http://www.gsm-unlock.com/unlock/unlock-motorola.html (Cheaper)

simply go to www.gsm-server.com or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and i will send you copy of my free trial software were you can unlock your moto e770, you can also see the old password of your mobile phone.. as well as drivers.
