I guess I don't understand the issue here..the water is NOT flowing, unless the ice machine is engaged? Is the line clear?

Won't make ice

It probably still MAKES ice, it just doesn't dispense it. The ice drawer may be blocked. Remove the ice drawer, empty it, rinse it through with luke warm water - including all non electrical moving parts, dry thoroughly, replace, give the machine time to replenish the ice, should solve your problem. Assuming it is just that it is only that it is blocked.

If this is a new purchase, you will have to depress the water dispenser lever long enough for the water to make it all the way through the system, including the water tank located inside the fresh food compartment.

MY ICEMAKER IS STUCK IN THE CRUSHED ICE CYCLE WONT PUT OUT THE CUBED ?? EVEN WHEN I PUSH THE BUTTON BACK AND FORTH WONT SWITCH ??

if you have selected cubed on the door and still wont dispense cubed ice likely cause is the cubed ice solinoid( located behind the panel in where the auger motor is located) thats the motor that turns the curly thing in the ice cube resivoir.....!!!

Ice maker will not change back from crushed ice to cubed ice.

you may not of gotten the metal rod on the bottom of the tray back in the right spot. remove the tray and slide it back in if problem persists you probably have a frozen or failed ice solinoid. this is behind the back wall and engages when you have cubed ice selected.remove the back panel and then remove solinoid and let it thaw rub the plunger with a little wd-40 and reinstall if you don't see any signs of the plastic melted or the p[l;unger remains stuck in the solinoid body. if problem reoccures replace the solinoid

The indoor water of my Whirlpool side by side refridgerator stopped dispensing water. The ice still works. I changed the filter but still no water

More than likly the solinoid is damaged, turn off the water and power and remove it, once removed you can turn the power back on while you go and find a new one. leave the water off until the new one is installed and turn the power off while you fit the new one. Turn on water, check for leaks, turn on power check for leaks again.

Before you pay for a new solinoid ask the parts guy to test your old part. If this is not the problem is has to be a problem with the electric switch attached to the water dispencer handle.

The solinoid is a double one side controls the ice the other cold water to the door, mark the two wire terminals so you can put them back. ( check you didnt loosen one of the wires when changing the filter - stranger things have happened ) solinoid is located at the end of the water line from the wall, just behind the cardboard at the bottom of the fridge, it should have two water lines and two power terminals attached.

Water dispnser not working

Could be the switch in the dispenser is bad or you may have a bad solenoid valve check to see if your getting power to the valve when the button is depressed.
Also a slim chance the water tank behind the vegetable bins is frozen..

the slide switch ice - water may not be making up. the paddle inside the door operates a common microswitch to either dispense ice or operates the water solenoid. check out the selector switch.
