I want to sign on my Linksys home page or security page.

This is not a vacuum cleaner question; it would be more like computer or geek squad issue.
Please direct your question to either one listed above.

I would like to download an owner's manual for a Singer 6510 Scholastic sewing machine.

First of all, here is the main Singer ONLINE SUPPORT page:

http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

To download your Owner's Manual, just enter 6510 in the empty search box on the lower right hand side of the support page when you get there, and then click the SEARCH button.

On the ensuing page, click on the red FREE DOWNLOAD! button on the lower right hand side of the page beside the 6510 6550 - WORKBOOK - SCHOLASTIC and SCHOLASTIC PLUS WORKBOOK - ENGLISH - HOME - FREE! option.

When it asks you if you want to open or save the file, choose SAVE, and then select a place on your computer to save the file, like on the DESKTOP so you can find it easily later. Then click on SAVE.

Once the file download is complete, click on OPEN, and then you should be able to view the contents of the manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents. You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, and then just follow the onscreen instructions to install it.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

Thank you very much and good luck.

Need white translucent globe for Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan to cover light. Globe fits to fan base with 6-1/4" Inside diameter mounting ring and is secured with three thumb screws.

I believe Harbor Breeze is sold through the Home Depot. Any well stocked Home Improvement store will carry a great selection of replacement globes for your light.

I woud go to durabrand's home page most manufactuares have free downloads for lost manuals. There shoud also be a link to their replacement parts section on the same home page. If you don't get any where with that you can try Durabrand.justask, com to ask an associate.

My brush is no longer working on my bissell healthy home vac. when i try to turn it on it makes a high pitched squealing sound. I'm pretty sure it needs a new belt but my husband is having trouble getting...

Hi,
According to Bissel, they should be standard phillips screws. Nowever - things change.
This is a general guide from Bissel for belt change -
BELT CHANGE _ CLICK HERE

Check your model number on that site for exact details.

If the screws are Torx (star) or other security screws, tool bits are available from Screwfix -
SECURITY SCREW BITS
That fit standard loose-bit screwdrivers.

Hope that solves your problem.
Thank you.

Hayden SuperVac central vacuum making an unbelievably loud noise.

Stop using the vac. Remove the filter and clean thoroughly, inspecting for damage. If the vac is spiting out bits off fuzz or lint it may need the motor cleaned and serviced as dirt has leaked past the filter. If it is spewing black, not gray this is carbon dust from the motor brushes. If the noise is scratchy or growling this is a sign of a motor problem as well.
The muffler unless it is a hepa filter/muffler combination is NOT designed to catch dust.
Exhaust dust is a sign of dust leaking through the motor which indicates future moor problems.
HINT, if the guy who installed the muffler didn't secure it right he is probably not a good choice as a service tech either. The muffler is normally clamped or secured in place with a small screw so it can be removed in the event of service.

I experienced the same problem of being unable to remove the dust cup. Inspection of the dust cup appeared to indicated two tabs on the bottom of the dust cup preventing it from sliding straight out as illustrated in the instructions. However, after much fiddling, I assumed that the dust cup with the tabs was probably a slightly different part than actually intended for that particular model (2996avr) and so decided to force the cup out, reasoning that if the tabs broke in the process, that was necessary for removal of the cup anyway, and therefore not detrimental.

HOWEVER, upon forcing the cup out, the cup broke away from a plate upon which it is designed to sit. The cup had apparently become stuck to the plate after much use without sufficient care and cleaning. The plate is what the tabs are attached to, and so by breaking the cup free of the plate, the tabs were not an issue, and the cup easily slid in and out of the housing, as intended. It was also observed, upon removal of the cup, that there is a very slight lip on the front of the plate to secure the cup in the proper position; this would likely act as an additional hinderance if the cup was also stuck to the plate by old cemented grime.
