Hi my screen is cracked and i have pictues on the actual camera itself. i figured that if i put in the usb and hooked it to my computer it would just pop out with the window to view the pics. well it doesnt and i cant see if there are any options i have to choose because my screen is black and all cracked up. what do i do?
1) power on the camera and connect it to pc
2) if connection exsist press menu (1x) on camera , with multiselector press up once , followed by OK on camera ,
3) if all goes well your operating ssytem will recognize the pictures in the internal memory and you will have them on your pc
or if that will not work , take it to a dealer (camera shop) and let them help youor if that will not work , take it to a dealer (camera shop) and let them help you

if you can get to the menu on the camera see if there is an operations menu that says to disconnect the usb or to close the usb. It might just be on and not closed.
Hello. You will need a special USB cable to go from your computer to your camera. The other way would be to remove the small photo data card from the camera and insert it into the computer, if your computer has the small slot required. Joe
no the screen is not worth gettin fixed the lcd scrren usaually cost more than the camera itself does but if your camera is discont get it fixed because their will be no other camera like it
remove the flat battery in the middle of the camera and the memory will reset itself, but you will lose your pictures, then after 10 minutes replace the flat battery and everything will be back to normal. if the flat battery is death change it for a fresh one.
That is actually the exact same thing I am experiencing but mine has grey lines on the display window. I was able to take photos to a grey screen connect it to my comp...low and behold my pics showed....I am furious....need some answers as I will never hear the end of it from my daughter.
same thing happened to me, i carried mine in my pocket. the glass itself doesnt crack but the lcd inside it does. you can still take pictures and videos with it but you have to hook it up to a computer to see them. ive been looking everywhere for the menus to it since i cant see them but i cant find them. everytime i put batteries in it the date resets so it always says 2006 since i cant change it. also, you can look on ebay for a similar model that has a working lcd for like 20 to 30 dollars. its fairly simple to do, but it has to be the same model.
When you say 'Get the pictures'
Have you actually or can you - down load them to the computer.
If you can then go to menue and delete all the pictures.
If the memory is full you have yo get those images off.
Possibility one : lens unit faulty and proper focus is not being achieved camera goes into error mode because of this and then it switches off to prevent further damage.( replace /repair lens unit )
Possibility two: shutter faulty . Lens delivers proper focus but when you try to take picture goes into error mode because shutter not coming on line or malfanctions. ( replace shutter only ).
