Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

The color just doesn't look right. However my provider just switched me over to fiber optic. My other tv seems to be okay, but they are on different lead-in cables in the house. Could the providers equipment be my problem? I can not get the tv adjusted with the menu on the screen. Thanks Darrell

I fixed the set myself. All I did was unplug the power cord to the set overnight. It must have demagnetized itself! The color is perfect. I do remember that we had some thunderstorms in the area about the same time as my problem occured.

How to get optical to work

You hear about fiber optic cables whenever people talk about the telephone system, the cable TV system or the Internet. Fiber-optic lines are strands of optically pure glass as thin as a human hair that carry digital information over long distances. They are also used in medical imaging and mechanical engineering inspection.

In this article, we will show you how these tiny strands of glass transmit light and the fascinating way that these strands are made. Fiber Optic Patch Cables

Dark spots

Take a good look at the screen on an unused video input to see if you seem them(a dark room works better).

This could to my thinking be either dust (based on the brand/model posted here-let me know if different) on the optical lens this set uses OR a defect in the optical light engine.

Also, I am aware this model does have software upgrades for different issues----when first out we had them and had to go to the site and download upgrades (two of them) and manually install them with a computer into the set---issues then were wrong colors and even lettering backwards........

How do you get laptop screen to show on the tv by a hdmi cord

Connect the HDMI cord to both. Switch to the HDMI input on the TV. Boot the laptop. If you're using Windows and the TV doesn't show the laptop's screen, right click anywhere on the desktop that doesn't have an icon, then select properties. In the tab to the right of the resulting window, you should be able to enable screen mirroring, expansion, or switching.

Some laptops also have a function key set that you press to switch monitor outputs. Look for keys with secondary, alternate color commands on them. It will normally take a set of key presses.

My tv turning green all of sudden Is there a way to reset it back to it orginal colors

Hi,
If tv is Sony KDS-R60XBR1 as shown in question headings then it is problem of optic block (light engine) that needs to be replaced, it is hardware problem that wont get solved by resetting. Optic block is expensive part and qualified tv tech is required to replace it.
If tv model number is different, please post it to provide you info about problem.
Thanks.

Bluish color right coener

I'm afraid, it is problem of optics unit block (light engine), there are 3 LCDs red-green-blue for color picture formation and blue LCD sounds bad, please call local TV tech for fix.
Thanks.
