Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

I have a T4053H Samsung HDTV I bought Jan. 2008. My tv is hooked right to cable tv service with no boxes in between. When I press in the numbers it can take up to 6 seconds for the channel to change. The numbers you enter show up on the screen right away & then you just sit & wait till it changes. All my other tvs (older) change as fast as you can press the buttons. Please reply----Thanks

As you suggested I called a TV Technician. He checked for the latest updates and etc. He told me that slow channel changing was normal and there wasn't anything that he could do. It looks like I will have to live with it.

It is a fault in the control board or in the remote, try first testing with an universal remote, If it works with Un.Remote change remote, otherwise call repairman

I have a RCA HDTV model# R52WH74. The cable company said all I needed was a digital box from them and a connector cable which I have. However the connector cable that fits into the digital box does not...

The cable company is always encouraging customers to rent cable boxes. It is hard to tell if a HDTV has a Quadrature Amplitude Modulation feature unless you ask at the time of purchase. Now the only thing to find out is to have it scan. Your TV has 2 RF inputs. You can choose one to hook up directly from cable source. Make sure to set up the right one for the input that you connect then let it scan. You will see something like channel 7, channel 7.1.... After that you have to make notes of what number is for which channel since it doesn't list out as what you have with a cable box. That is the inconvenience to watch without a cable box, but if you know what channel already then you can go straight to it without searching from remote.
I find out that cable box renting is a rip off. Another option is buy a new TiVo HD 20GB is selling now for 249.99 at Best to replace cable box legally and have all features just like cable box plus many more. However you have to pay TIVO service in order to record program. It still about the cost, but at least you know there is an option. Hope this can help.

I have the same tv with the same problem ---Green and I have found that the HDMI cable from my Blue rayplayer works just fine when the regular tv is green /I have come to the conclusion that the digital board is not working right so I just went to cox and got the box . I am going to hook my cable up to the top set box from cox and then I am going to hook the component video cables to the tv then I will bypass the Board ,and not scew the cable into the tv . we shall see I think it will work as long as my HDMI and component jacks dont give out to .

How do you hook up to dish network? there is no spot on the back of the tv to hook up the regular tv cord coming out from the cable box.

At the bottom right of this model there should be a connector labelled Antenna/Cable - if not there, use the ones labelled Composite Inputs and connect the yellow red and white cables fom the output of the satellite box there. (you'll need a the a/v cables)

Samsung Rear Projection DLP HDMI Captions

The captions are turned on in the cable box itself. If you have a Motorola cable box, turn it off then hit the menu button for the cable box. You will then see where you can turn off the closed captioning. Anymore questions email me tvtek@msn.com
