Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Hi i have a problem and i think my screen may hve broke but i hope not. When i turn on my laptop all my buttons light up on keyboard but the screen stays completely black and does nothing. This came out of nowhere i was working fine then i turned it off and a coupe hours later i tried rebootoing it to use it again and this happens. If this screen is broken is there a way for to to just change it myself or atleast check if it IS the screen? I am using a i am using a HP Pavillion dv6000 with windows vista
Well it ended up being that the hard drive needed to be replaced. Company says this model has been doing this alot so anyone that has this computer should keep this in mind.

Try booting up with your OS disk in (ie. your windows vista disk), this will bootup your computer with basic drivers installed. If your screen shows anything, then there is a driver issue, if not its a hardware issue and most likely will have to be replaced.
