Hi - Have had fridge about 6 weeks. Yesterday the ice maker stopped dispensing ice. If you push the cube or the chipped ice buttons nothing comes out. The ice maker makes a noise and if you look inside there is a black flap that is opening and closing. This goes on for several minutes and then stops. Thanks Susan Fox

SOURCE: ice maker not working bosch refridgerator

Had the same problem. If there is ice in the bin make sure the ice bin is in all the way. there is a
drive gear in the back that has to be engaged. If the
bin is emty open the little door where you can see
if there is ice, on the left you will see the square
end of the ice maker unit. Slip your fingers under
the front face, palm of your hand facing up so you
can feel the bottom of the front of the unit. Over
to the left you will feel a button that you can not
see. Just push it in for a few seconds and the unit
should start. One other thing, make sure the limit
switch is pulled down, thats the plastic on the
wire which shuts the unit off if it is full. Good Luck.

SOURCE: Just installed a new Bosch fridge, ice dispenser

Make sure it has water on the container and no obstruction on the water dispenser. Try several times. Since it was new unit, sometimes water has not yet completely fill the dispenser tubing hence it will not dispense water.
Look for some carton, foam or plastic obstruction around the dispenser, it may cause hindrance of not flowing water from dispenser into the glass.
Thanks for asking.

SOURCE: water dispenser stopped working. Ice

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Ice maker is crushing ice when cube ice button is on

We've had a similar problem, possibly the same, with our LG in-door ice maker. Whether cubed ice or crushed ice is selected, it crushes the ice.

We found that there is a little lever on the inside of the door, on the lower right behind the ice bin, which freezes in the down position. This is a literal "freeze up", as a block of ice forms in the little well under this switch and eventually freezes the switch in place. Since the switch needs to go up to provide cubed,.. we only get crushed. On 3 separate occassions we've thawed and chipped out (carefully) this little ice dam and gotten cubed ice capability back for a few weeks. At which point it freezes again. I have no idea why water collects there in the first place.

Ice Maker Issues-only crushed ice works, cubed comes out crushed

There is a solinoid in the freezer section by the motor that turns the ice auger. Test it by selecting cubes and with the ice bucket out, open the door, hold the door switch so the lights turn out and push the dispenser button. It should make a loud snap and travel upward. If not then I would say you have a bad solinoid. If it does, then I would look at the bucket. the metal rod that runs along the side of the bucket opens a flap in the bucket that is supposed to let the full cubes drop. look for anything that might cause it to be hanging up.

In door water and ice cube not working

Water dispenser is a simple touch switch in door energizing a solenoid water valve behind ventilation grate above refrigerator. Water tube runs down into and ends at ice dispenser chute. Should hear solenoid click at top of fridge when activate water touch switch. Can unhook discharge side of solenoid valve temporarily to prove water output. If water dispenser tube acts blocked it could be frozen where it ends-look up the hole at the bottom of refrigerator control buttons.
Ice maker is totally different system. No clicking when push ice button but ice in bulk tray may mean the simplest of malfunctions: Ice bin not pushed in the last half inch if ice auger not lined up with drive pegs. There are hidden switches behind ice bin that need to be engaged or nothing will happen in the ice maker: no auger noise, no clicking, no new ice making. Ice bin will be flush with sheet metal if it is in the right spot. Also plastic juice rack won't hang properly if ice bin not pushed in all the way.

Ice and water dispenser not working but light on constantly

CM, there are 2 things that'd cause this. One is inexpensive, the other is not. First, check the cheap one... That rectangular rubber piece in back of your dispenser area is only a cover for a cantilever device. When you push in on this with a cup, the cantilever swivels back toward you and makes contact with a micro-switch. This switch sends power to the integrated circuit board which, in turn, performs the function you requested (cubed, crushed, water). OK... unplug your fridge. Then use your ears to diagnose this. Push the actuator pad several times in and out and listen for the tell-tale "click click" of the micro-switch. If you hear it clicking, it's good. Plug your fridge back in. Now for the expensive part. If your micro-switch clicks, your dispenser control board is fried and needs to be replaced. (I'm afraid that this is the case because the board controls the light as well as all the other functions.) UNPLUG YOUR FRIDGE BEFORE REPAIRING! To gain access the board, use a small flat blade screwdriver and remove the fascia panel starting at the bottom first. Just begin prying it gently off. Then remove the screws that are holding the board assy in place and gently pull it out. Take note of all of the wiring so you can re-install it correctly. The board number you need is #61005274. Unfortunately, it lists for about $100. A professional repairman would charge you over $200 for the repair, so you're actually saving money here! BTW, we recommend using a Belkin Surge protector for all appliances that utilize electronic controls. (you wouldn't plug you computer directly into a wall outlet, would you?) We regularly use these... http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/(a1q3xi45sxgfbzm0qejhei55)/ProductDetails.aspx?SKU=3115672
