Question about Memorex MMP8565 MP3 Player
My daughter has an MP3 player and all of a sudden when you plug it into the computer no files show, and when you try to add songs it says "program either stopped responding or has been disconnected". We have tried it on several songs and it says the same thing. The songs are still on the MP3 because she can still play them but when plugged into the computer none show up and we cant add or delete songs..... Can anyone shed any light????

1) Format the player first - instructions are in the user manual
2) Upgrade the firmware
If you cannot do any of the above due to non-PC-recognition:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
