-   Same problem! The Casio EX-S600, fresh from the box, is properly installed with a new battery and the instructions are followed perfectly. All you get from the charging cradle is a blinking red light (which never deviates from blinking red, no matter how long it's left plugged in), and the battery never receives a charge. I've been futzing with this for two days now, with no success. Definitely a design flaw in the charging system. The camera is cute to look at but I've not yet been able to even turn it on due to this lame charger. CAN ANYBODY OFFER A SIMPLE FIX, short of using a hammer at this point? Thanks!

-   mine's doing the same thing. The flashing red light indicates the flash is charging and it won't charge and let me take a flash picture. -   Guest
