JVC HR-XVC37U Combo problem

posted by cstine71 on Apr 29, 2008

When I try to use the remote for my JVC HR-XVC37U DVD Player / VCR Combo, the display displays "CL." The unit cannot even be turned on. What's wrong?

You have the child lock (CL) turned on.
Your instruction manual will have the information about turning it on or off.

It's purely t prevent small fingers doing bad things to expensive electrical equipment. =)

If you cannot locate the info in the manual, post back and I will hnt the relevant info for you.

Save you some time..
To turn the child lock on or off, press the power button on the unit for 10 seconds while the unit is already turned on.

The unit will turn off and the child lock will be set to on or off depending on it's previous state.

Just press the power button normally then and the unit will turn back on.
