Is the power supply completely dead ? If so with this model of power supply its very common for the resistor 3318 on power supply to go out. Causing the power supply to completely die. Take out the resistor 3318 its a 470 Ohm 1W resistor. check it if it doesn't read around 430-530 Ohm Its gonna be bad ( most likely ith will read in the mega ohms. Replace with a 470 Ohm 2 W resistor. Also check power supply for cracks
Hello, I"m having the same problem. My TV will not turn on. The green light will turn on for a few seconds...then the light turns red and it blinks 6 times. Is this post related to model number 37pf9631d/37 ? ... Could it be the resistor issue ?

You are right, it was resistor 3318. Completely out.
The new PS had a bigger one, so apparently Philips realized their mistake and corrected it. Not fair to the customers, who have to pay around $400 for such a repair.
Thanks to you, it cost me less than $100 from Vance Baldwin electronics.
Thanks again!
Same problem here. Will not turn on and has 6 red blinking lights.
For me it was the resistor. As advised, I measured and that one was dead. Had I known that before ordering new power supply, I could fix it for a few cents. The board was not very expensive, with returned core, so I don't mind. If you can solder, follow the advice by jdbouncer, above.
Philips realized their mistake and the new board has that new bigger resistor. It should last now.
