Dear sir i have a intel motherboard in waranti my motherboard have many problem, 1..front fan is not run. 2. motherboard setup is not reset setup after out bios batry. 3..board heating senser is not work , system give heating massage, system again again restert, I give a motherboard in servicecenter, but board is same come , that problem is totaly same. please help me and solve me , what i do? my conttact no is 09931123457 my emal id is --skystardinesh@gmailcom [email protected]

If it is within warranty, pls take it to the service center along with yr cabinet. Let them fit the wires within the cpu. if u have fitted it on yr own, It seems that u have not fitted properly, the wirings.

Gateway service manuals

from all the research I could find on this computer it looks like it has an intel motherboard in it I have attached a link to the pdf of the motherboard. Page 44 shows how the front panel should be wired. looks like pins 2 & 4 are for power light 6 & 8 for on off switch 1 & 3 for HDD light and 5 & 7 for a reset button

You want C - Front Panel

The plastic front of your computer is the Front Panel
Cables (Wires) coming from the Front Panel go to the Front Panel header on the motherboard

Connecting the Front Panel is shown on Page 32

Processor to the Top, Ram Memory slots to the Right, the Front Panel header is at the Bottom Right. It is right along the bottom edge of the motherboard.

There are 4 pins across the Top
There are 5 pins across the Bottom
The Pins are numbered.

Starting on the Left side of the motherboard going towards the Right,
the Top row of pins are numbered 2, 4, 6, and 8

Starting on the Left side of the motherboard going towards the Right,
the Bottom row of pins are numbered 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive Activity LED light.
Pin 1 goes to the Positive ( + ) wire

Pin 2 goes to the Ground wire ( - )
If the LED is dim after installing switch the two wires around


B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch. IF used. (Reset button)

C) Pin 9 is for the 5 Volts DC

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch. (Power On button)

Page 34 shows you where the power cables from the Power Supply go to the motherboard.
Connecting Hardware Control and Power Cables

D shows you where the 20-pin ATX main power cable goes.

Problem in motherboard

remove the cover and check that the cpu and power supply fan are working. clean the cpu fan/heatsink of all the dust and dirt that has accomulated.

Intel D945GTP Motherboard

1)reset your bios with the help of the bios resetting jumper located around front pannel connecter,

2)Reset the mother board battery

3) Open the memory and switch it up. if you do not get a long beep sound this is possiblly a mother board problem

Fails to go to "Setup", does not show on Screen.

1.make sure your monitor is plugged on the video card.
2.check *********** board manual for videocard slots.
3.check your videocard if they nid extra power from four(4) pin
female power cable or six pin female power cable.
4.try using another monitor.. or TV XD
