How do you write and send a message on an iphone

Try this easy steps:
Restart your iPhone.
Check your network connection. To send a message as iMessage or MMS, you need a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. To send an SMS message, you need to have a cellular network connection. If you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, you can send SMS messages over Wi-Fi.
Check with your carrier to see if the type of message you're trying to send, like MMS or SMS, is supported.
If you're trying to send group MMS messages on an iPhone, go to Settings > Messages and turn on MMS Messaging. If you don't see an option to turn on MMS Messaging or Group Messaging on your iPhone, then your carrier might not support this feature.
Make sure that your device has enough space to receive images and videos.
Make sure that you entered the correct phone number or email address for the contact.

Every Apple device can send messages to another apple device. This messages are called iMessages.

When you try to send a message to your son's iPhone your iPhone will try to send it via internet using iMessages.

In order to "tell your iPhone" to use regular text messages make sure that your son's cellular number is correctly stored in your contacts. That way if your iMessage fails, your iPhone will send it via regular text message.

You will see the difference between both because the "send" button and contact name will turn green when using regular text messages and blue when you're using iMessages.

Under settings/message, make sure "show sms subject" is switched to ON.

Now, try to send SMS agian, but this time, make sure you enter something in the SMS subject field.

You have to connect it to itunes and update the device to the newest ios.

then when in messages you press the picture left of where you type text.

yes i phones arent mms compatible its the iphone. but you can use msn, aim, yahoo msngr.

What email provider are you using.
Also check who is your incoming mail server but the best way to do this is to delete your account and register it again on iPhone push mail.

i had the same problem and i could not find any source to solve it. At the end I found a way to solve this naked problem. I put the the simcard to another mobile and send a message to any number and it was sent. And then ı had delete the mobile center number and retype again and save. And then take sim card out and put it in the Iphone... The happyy End.. :)))) its start to sending the messages... HURRAYYYYYYYYY :)))))))))
