Hello,

For pluging the Webcam you need to have USB ports.
You need to install the latest service pack available for your OS
You had to install the USB 2.0 drivers for supporting the cam
Install the drivers of the Webcam
Restart the System
Now Plug the webcam usb connector to any port of the motherboard

My logitech webcam is connected but when i pull up the software it says my webcam is not plugged in

There may be an issue with your USB port.
Try unplugging your camera, Restarting the computer, and then plugging the camera into a *different* USB port. The camera should re-enumerate in your system, and that should fix the problem.

I plugged in my webcam but nothing happens

Hi,

Firstly you need to determine if the problem lies with your webcam or with your USB port.
You can determine this by plugging a different device into the same port, such as a flash stick or external hard drive.
Also test your webcam by plugging it into a different computer. If another computer fails to detect your webcam you may have to replace your webcam as they are relatively inexpensive and not worth repairing.

Best wishes,

I just got a web cam and im not sure how to use it. my computer says device not recognized.

This is the kind of error message you get when you plug it into a port that cannot handle the speed of the webcam.
All you need to do is to try connecting it to all the ports one after the other and you would get it right. If you can get the USB 2.0 port on your computer, all you need to do is to plug it to that port and your problem should be solved.
Hope this helped you? Please comment for more information

Problem installing a genius VideoCam Messenger

Try restarting the computer with the device unplugged, and then when you are in Windows and everything has loaded, plug your Web Cam into a "different" USB port than you originally had it plugged into.

Now the drivers should install your device.

Computer locks up when plugged into camera

Might be that the USB Port you're plugging the webcam into is USB1.1 and the camera is USB 2????

look at the port on the computer.. is it Black Plastic or White... If Black It is USB 1 if White...USB2...

Might be that causing the freeze up... Hope it helps

Web cam

Most of the Web cams dont have build in mic, but if you had it with your cam, try to plug in the red plug at the back of your CPU in the red plug in beside the green plug in. use plug and play wizard that helps you to try the mic of your cam if it really works.
