The usb port has become defective and needs replacing there is no quick fix just replacing the USB port will solve the problem, Quite fiddly but worth it to get USB back working.

USB on that TV is for a USB flash.
Page 11 in the manual says:
Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port, select USB channel source via the SOURCE button.
It doesn't say what it will read off a flash drive though.

Flash drives do not need a drivers (plug and play). There are several possibilities:

1. Assumptions: USB port error, computer drivers normal, normal flash drive.
Solution: insert a flash drive into another USB port. If the USB port 1 is not detected, insert flash drive into a USB 2, USB 3 or USB 4.
2. Assumption: normal USB ports, computer driver error, a normal flash drive
Solution: reinstall the chipset drivers, or USB.
3. Assumption: normal USB port,
computer driver normal, flash drive is broken
Solution: try to insert the flash drive into another computer. If the flash drive is not detected, it means your flash drive is damaged.

Solution to determine the cause of damage:
1. If you have a USB mouse, use the mouse to check the damage to the USB port. Example: connect the mouse to the USB 1, USB 2, USB 3 or USB 4. If every USB port, mouse is detected, the conclusion normal USB port
2. To check your computer's drivers, right-click My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager

3. If points 1 and 2 are normal, the possibility of flash drive damaged.

Try a different USB device on each of the USB ports on your computer.
Hopefully, all your USB ports are working correctly.

Try a different USB port on your computer.
Hopefully, the SanDisk will be detected on one of the ports.

Try a USB port on a different computer.
If the SanDisk still is not detected, then spend $10 to buy a new 4GB flash-drive.

I bought new HP p6000 Series Desktop computer where the driver is not reading Cruzer or any flash drive. What to do.

look on the back of your computer for a hi speed usb port, or just use any back usb port. some computers like mine dont have a "bus" to the mother board to the front usbs or because they are piggy backed to the front they dont pass through.

Flash drive not lighting up and not being read

Hello aaron_s_robe,

Sounds like the flash drive may be faulty. You may try plugging it into another USB port on your computer, if that doesnt help try plugging it into another computers USB port.

If after trying the above doesnt work. Your drive is most likely bad.

My two front usb ports cant read usb hard drives

Some external USB drives require external power sources. Typically this is done either with an external power supply that connects to the drive or a second USB cable that connects to the drive and a second usb port on the pc. I have even seen one drive that comes with a Y cable. one end goes to the drive and the 2 usb plugs go to the pc.
