I must have put a bad track on my m240 also. Now it is corrupt or that is what the sandisk people tell me. My computer does not recognize the player when I plug in to reformat. I tried going through the steps that the Sandisk people suggested which was taking out the battery for 24 hours and then holding the start button down without the battery in it for 30 seconds. They told me to plug it in to the computer with the hold button on red- none of that work. I asked them if there was someting I was doing to corrupt and they said they did not have the information. Sorry I am not able to offer any solutions to fix this problem.

Mine froze up for about four hours, I left it to allow the battery to discharge and then when I turned it on again, it worked. Started it again and then deleted the last music I had put on and have not had that problem again. But it is only early days - will wiat and see if it happens again.

Glad it worked for you. I'm not sure where the rumor got started that people have to wait for the battery to run down, but you definitely do not thanks to reset. Hooray!

Isn't it that you just go to my computer and delete it there?
It says to delete it entirely from it.

You should let the battery be flat and then charge it.
It'd then work. It happened to me twice. Hope this helps.
