This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds.

SANYO TV VOLUME CONTROL PROBLEM

I have Sanyo TV. This problem started after I got into a sub menu with choices of volume lock and channel lock. I accidently set it the volume lock to ON. I could not go to that menu again. It seems that this TV has the feature of securing the volume so that the kids can't change it. Any way to go to the locks sub menu?

Just got it (used) power problem?

  1. turn your tv on with remote control
  2. go to menu select front button lock
  3. select off to restore the operations of the front panel operations
  4. the front panel lock is a feature that lets you disable the front panel to prevent children from changing settings by accident
  5. if this doesnt work i would suggest contacting a service repair tech.

REMOTE LOCKED

On most television remotes, there are buttons to control other units. If these buttons are hit by accident, then the remote acts like you described. Look at the top of the remote and find the button that says TV. Push it and it should start working normal. Since I'm not at my shop, I don't know the exact button or names. If this doesn't work, respond to this post and I will reply when I have a schematic in front of me.
