well when i put it on the dry cylce it sounds to me that the water is draing into to drain pipes, does that make sence? now the check valve is usually located under the sink on one of the brass piping. is there a certain way the check valve should facing vertical horizontal?

    I appreciate your time vmcanchola

Check your drain line and/or drain pump. The drain line should have a high loop at the point prior to where it connects to your drainage system in order to prevent drain water from the kitchen sink from back flowing into the dishwasher. In addition, most drain pumps have a small check valve that prevents this water from backing up as well. However, if you have something lodged in the drain pump (i.e., a toothpick) it can prevent the check valve from closing properly. This can cause water to back up into the dishwasher. You mentioned that the water will not drain. Is the drain pumping runnings at all? Please post back and let me know.

I've personally seen something as small as popcorn kernel take out the wash pump. Just be careful what you put in the dishwasher and let me know if you still have any issues.

Hi,

You will need to clear out the drain in the freezer under the evaporator to fix this issue. THe drain is obstructed and will not allow the water to drain out as its needed for defrost. Good Luck

Why do I have a puddle under my fridge every couple days but no sign of a drip or leak?

If it is an automatic defrost fridge the it will have a hose draining down into a container under the fridge, make sure it is draining where it should and has,not become dislodged. Some have a small tray with either pipes inside it or an electric heater. Some have a container sitting on top of the compressor, both of these are used to evaporate the water.
check to make sure there are no holes in the water catcher.
if you have an electric heater that is not functioning then the container will be already full of water and at each defrost cycle will overflow onto the floor.

Water in bottom of refrigerator coming from freezer (not really sure of the exact model as I'm not home to double check).

If water appears on the floor in front of the refrigerator once or twice a day, it could be due to a clog in the defrost drain tube. The usual evidence of a clogged drain in a side-by-side refrigerator is ice under the bottom basket in the freezer compartment, in addition to a puddle of water on the floor. Do you have a water softener installed in your home and is the water coming to the dishwasher at least 120F? I have some advice you can read about on dishwashers but it really sounds like a water temperature is.

HI. thanks for your question. the problem is with a clogged drain tube, located under the freezer. and goes down to the drain pan. to repair. turn fridge off for at least 24 hrs. use a small plastic hose . go to the drain hose, by the drain pan. push small hose inside the drain tube, up as high as you can. now blow in the tube to clear. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer thanks.
