Right after your POST screen goes off, before you get to Windows starting, try pushing the F8 key several times until you get the Windows boot options. Then try 'last known good configuration".
If that doesn't work, you can boot from the Windows installation disk and try to repair your Windows installation.Let me know what happens.
And good or bad, please rate my post?

Windows XP won't load on my emachine t3516

You may need to check to make sure Windows XP was installed properly, if the computer had crashed, you can do a repair, I am a computer technician, and I can tell you, that replacing the power supply will not do that.

I cant get my computer to fully boot up

This might happen if you install McAfee with applications running, or not restarting Windows, etc. I am not sure why you couldn't boot in Safemode, booting in safemode is exactly what you need to do to uninstall McAfee.

I bought lenovo G550 last week. It came with Windows Vista. I want to install Windows XP on it. I have found that lenovo has driver for windows XP so that will make my life easy :-) But when I try to...

you are most likely getting a BSOD with a stop error code of 0x0000007B which is caused by the Windows XP CD that you are using doesn't have the SATA Hard Drive controller driver needed to recognize and utilize the hard drive. If Lenovo has XP drivers for this model then they should have a SATA driver (roughly 394k) that will need to be loaded FROM A FLOPPY DISKETTE during the boot to XP. (XP Requires the driver to either be slipstreamed into the CD or loaded from a floppy diskette. Trying to load the controller driver USB or a different CD will not work)

The screen is frozen at the Window XP screen

See if you can boot in safe mode. Turn on computer and repeatedly press F5, select the safe mode option if you can get in then the problem might be you have too many start up programs trying to load when windows start. Find out which ones you do not need and prevent them from starting up when you log on.

Dunno what happen??

When You Boot up your screen goes in to the windows xp loading bar and after a quick blue flashin screen pops up and it restarts unfortunately this is what they call the Blue Screen of Death so more than likely you harddrive with the os is corrupted so either you will need to reload the OS or by a new harddrive and load the Os on that Harddrive

Aspire 5100

Sounds like both of you have what is called 'Microsoft Blue Screen Of Death' and is irreversible, but is fixable at the same time. If you need files on your computer then follow these instructions

  1. Turn on computer and Insert Windows XP Installation Disc that came with your computer
  2. Wait until it says 'Press any key to boot from CD....' and press any key
  3. Wait until it comes up with prompts and choose 'Install Windows XP
  4. Choose to install XP without formatting the hard drive and choose a made partition (C Drive) to install NTFS
  5. Install and now your system will be working again. You will be prompted from now on though which Operating System you would like to use. Always select the first one
  6. Enjoy
For if you want to erase the hard drive
  1. Follow steps 1 - 3 in above instructions
  2. Choose 'Format Hard Drive'
  3. Select create partition in Hard Drive and set it to the maximum space and call (C)
  4. Select NTFS and go through instructions
  5. You won't be asked to choose a OS as there is only one to choose from
  6. Enjoy
Hope This Helps
