Paper jams. I can't seem to get it to stop grabbing a piece of paper and then just stop half way.

After my hp 1315 prints pages, it will pull one sheet halfway and jam. I have cleaned it and looked for any debris. It seems like the starter roller is not disengaging after it prints when the cartridges are returning to rest position.

Paper mismatch officejet 6500 crumples

There could be a foreign object or torn piece of paper that's stuck further inside the printer mechanism path. Try using a flashlight and inspecting any access or clean out hatches. Sometimes something will be caught inside and cause the paper you feed in to crumple and create a jam. I watched a video on youtube giving different ideas on how to fix this problem. Paper jams on the right hand sideon the last half of the sheet. the printer is clear of all paper from previous jams. The printer is an Ofice jet 6310 All-in-one

If it jams all the time, then there is a problem with the mechanic paper feed gears.

If it is an occasional paper jam, just remove the paper and restart the printer.

Give me more details for more troubleshooting.

The rollers won't grab the paper. It may grab toward the end of the print job so that the second half gets printed on the top half of the paper. Or it just won't grab at all.

Dear User,

Your Printer rollers seems to go plane, and they are unable to grab paper properly. You should clean them with a clean piece of paper.
And you can also rub silghtly them with an ambry paper, if needed so that it may grip the paper properly.

Thanks

Lexmark x1270 paper jam

hah - I had this problem on my old 1270 - there is a jam - its just very small - mine was caused by half a peanut lodged under a pickup roller - take the back paper guide off and check carefully - it might just be a piece of grit - the paper will skew away from the point of the jam so see where it skews and check around there

hope this helps, cheers

Paper Jam

  1. Press the On button and then unplug the power cord.
  2. Press in the tab on the rear door to release the door. Remove the door by pulling it away from the unit.
  3. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. CAUTION: If the paper tears when you are removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If you do not remove all of the pieces of paper from the unit, more paper jams are likely to occur.
  4. Replace the rear door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.
  5. Plug the power cord in and then press the On button to turn the unit on.
  6. Press OK to continue the current job.

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Paper Jam

Try putting a piece of tape or something sticky on the eraser end of a pencil and try to work out the paper. Sometimes, you can use needle nose pliers or other long nose pliers to grab the paper and pull it out.
