Hi I have recently installed a game (barnyard) for my kids and the graphics aren't working properly (eg-where there should be grass it's the sky is just one of the few problems). I did a scan on the nvidia website and it said that I have intel(r)82865G Graphics controller and there's no need for an update at this stage. So what do I do,I don't have a great understanding of computers and how they work....Thanks, Sarah...

I have a problem with a game called BARNYARD. It's a graphic problem, most of the features (buildings etc) cannot be seen and the ground looks like the sky... I have a intel(r)82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics...

You have to upgrade your VGA card most probably but anyway you can try the following:

Install the latest VGA drivers from Intel website which can improve performance

Install DX 9.0c to remove some glitches/bugs

The amount of graphic processing is below par for your built-in graphic card when it is unable to draw objects in real time at FPS rate of 30 or above.

Let me know if the above steps help to improve the performance of the game or not.

After installing the game, I launch it but all that comes up is a black screen, if I click the black screen it turns to white and says (not responding), I am not the best on computers so if you could give...

you'll probably need to update your graphic card drivers. To do so, just google your graphic card model, eg. "nvidia 9600 PCI grapic card driver download Windows XP". Also, you may check for forums that discuss games, eg. "forum YOUR GAME problem with YOUR GRAPHIC CARD" as games tend to be sketchy when it comes to graphics.

PVM900M MERCURY MOTHERBOARD DRIVERS

If yu are using the onboard graphics adapter then your graphics drivers are on the cd for the motherboard.

If you have a proper graphics card then the drivers are available from the manufactures web site eg. NVIDIA or whoever.

If you are trying to run one of the newer games with an onboard card you may find that it will just not work as many of the newer games require much better cars than those built into many motherboards

I have intel-945GM express chipset, and i need to play a game that needs shader model 3 please advice

firstly you need to have a pci express graphics card inorder to play new games. Intel chipsets are NOT for playing games!! You should get at least a Nvidia 8600gts or ati 3650 or similar to game properly- presuming that you have a pci express slot. Be warned that if you get a new graphics card dont go by the series eg, 8 series or 9 series- a 8600gts is better than a 9400gt. A nice graphics card for the money is the nvidia 9600gt. Good luck upgrading

The players are distorted and streched

Hi!
Please check wheather the graphics requirement by the game is satisfied or not.fifa09 need a little bit of graphics.check yur system.if yur system donot posses atleast 512mb ram, inbuilt 128mb graphics then the game might not work properly.then i will suggest upgrade yur pc/laptop.if yur pc satisfy the requirements then u might disable the 3d grass feature, decrease the screen resolution, disable any extra feature that is not needed. This might help you.

Graphic card

the graphics card has got nothing to do with the game installation, only when the game is installed will you be able to see if the card is performing correctly, if you have a game that requires the cd to run after installation for pirating reasons, assuming you have it installed use cd1 to play the game.

If you can get the correct resolution for your monitor eg 1024 x 768 then the graphics card is working, you would'nt be able to see your desktop.
