I usually buy a wiring harness adapter off of ebay.com or BestBuy.com to get wires that are labeled to work with the aftermarket radios available for your Buick Regal.
They don't cost much and can save a lot of headaches.
Testimonial: "Thanks for the advice. I actually found the wiring harness at Clutchfield.com, they even shipped the instructions to install the entire radio, free!"

I wouldn't bother trying to wire everything by hand. Your gonna have to pull out a lot more then old radio to get to the wires you need. I suggest Crutchfield.com. I put in an aftermarket, and they had both the wiring harness I needed, plus the dash kit to give it a professional look and secure installation. They also ship an instruction booklet, free of charge, with a lot of their products telling you just how to put in the new part. I've only bought two parts from them so far, but I'll be going back plenty over the coming years. I spent a lot of time trying to do just what you are now, and trust me, it'll save you a lot of headaches to get the parts from them, and use the enclosed instructions. It would have changed my three day headache of an install into a 3 hour lesson on what was really behind my dashboard. Do yourself a favor, pay the ten bucks for the harness, and use the booklet that comes with it. I really can't stress that enough. The suffering that booklet will save you is worth way more then ten dollars. Just do it. Do it now.
Here's the link for the harness you'll need. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701858L/...
