Question about Sharp HT-DP3000 System
We've owned the Sharp home theater system for 8 yrs, and last week the remote stopped working. The main unit won't and can't turn on (the main ON/OFF switch only puts it in "standby mode". I've put in new (tested) batteries, cleaned the LED on the remote, and the plastic cover on the theater system's sensor....and no luck. Unfortunately, w/o the remote, this system is as good as a boat anchor - as you can't turn it on (confirmed by the manual).
Anyone (1) have information as to why the remote might no longer send a signal to the sensor, or (2) know where I can get a replacement, or (3) know where the remote could be shipped for repair?
Where or how rather, can I buy the speaker wires with the pin box? I bought this system of a guy from craigslist (for $60) and none of the speakers have wires...

I know this answer is kinda late for the original poster but I have that system and have been using it for more than three years with no remote. All you do is plug it in, the unit should be in stand by mode, then press the large power button on the front off and then on. The unit will click and then power on. :)
