Panasonic PT-51HX40B convergence issue

Hi,
I'm stumped trying to fix shot convergence on my Panasonic PT-51HX40B.
I replaced the STK-392-110's with no change in convergence.
I ordered and installed Sanyo STK-394-160's with still no convergence.
I checked all of the 20-ohm 1/10w resistors, values look good.
The voltages at the STk's look good.
I have no convergence control at all.
Any ideas or schematic would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Replaced STK's with a new set. Still no convergence. Must be something else.

If anybody has schematic or service manual, it would be helpful.

    Thanks,

Not sure if the transformer is bad or something on secondary side is pulling the voltage down--if replacing it cured the issue you did good.

If not try to disconnect at source on secondary side to see if with no load the voltage comes up.

Looking for either the xfmr to be bad or something shorted pulling the voltage it creates down.

Hi, thank you for visit fix ya.
Do you have problems with you STKs ICS convergence.
Replace stk 392-110, use stk 392-150 ( better).

The convergence amps have most likely failed. That unit takes two STK392-110 (Sanyo) amps. For more reliability I'd have them changed using an STK392-150. They have a greater amperage and higher heat tolerance.
It's clearly a job that you want a qualified shop to do.. Call around and get some off-the-cuff estimates on what they charge to change out the convergence amps and tell them that you would prefer they use the 150's instead of the 110's.. They'll probably wonder how qualified you are. :)
