Hello Two options to try: a) Press the Clock / Timer button 3 times b) Unplug, wait a few seconds, then re-plug to power up with the factory settings. You will need to reset your clock and any favourite settings.
This should work with all Panasonic Microwave models.
Good luck

Yay! Thank you KerryKiwi for your answer. I tried several other options I had read (including the timer or clock button) and nothing has worked. I was afraid this was going to mean having to buy a new microwave. Who knew unplugging for a minute would reset! Works great now :D

Press the timer, and wait till the display shows no time (you will see ":" only nothing else) . Now you could press the quick minute option and it will work in normal mode.

Different models have different key sequences; my Panasonic NN-CF778SBPQ_SS requires MICROWAVE once followed by STOP four times to start or stop DEMO mode. The best thing to do is to get the operating instructions for your model off the panasonic website http://www.panasonic.eu/downloads/en_GB/popup.html and find the correct sequence for your model.

"DEMO MODE" is a tool intended for in-store demonstration of the microwave oven to the consumer.
While in Demo Mode, if you push "START", the microwave will not fully operate as designed. To Exit Demo Mode, press the "Timer/Clock" button four times. If it does not work, see to your operating manual.

It keeps on showing demo and we dont know how to get it started again

Depends on the model but here is a video for one model: http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vSupportHowToGuideDetail?storeId=15001&idval=UCM_STG_CNT_037074&catname=Microwave+Ovens&title=How%20to%20deactivate%20the%20Demo%20Mode

In most Panasonic models, the DEMO mode is turned on or off with "Fn + 5" key combination. So if you are stuck in Demo mode, press Fn followed by 5 it will bring you out of it. Other times, it could be Fn + 0 and then Press 1 to turn on the demo mode and 2 to turn it off.
If there is no Fn key on the touch pad then it could be something like tapping the ON or OFF key four times
