I've found the manual to be inaccurate as far as setting the clock. To display the clock, hold down the right knob, then choose Freq or Clock. Push again to set. Easy.

To set the clock, push the source button until you're in standby mode. Hold the left knob down (volume ctrl) until menu comes up. Either push the left knob OR move the right up or down (can't remember which) until you see Clk Adj. Push the vol ctrl knob (I think). Then, the knob on the right goes left right for minutes/hours, and up/down for the other. I believe you can push the vol knob then once its set.

Try pressing either the seek up or down button for a few seconds. then use the am/fm and seek up and down switches to adjust the time.

Am I missing something simple? Read the manual and can't set the time or date on KDC MP628.

Step 1:

Hi there,

In standby mode:


Enter Menu mode:
Press the [MENU] button for at least 1 second.
"Menu" is displayed.

Step 2:


Select Clock Adjustment mode:
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].
Select the "Clock Adjust" display.

Step 3:


Enter Clock Adjust mode:
Press the Control knob for at least 1 second.
The clock display blinks

Step 4:


Adjust the hours:
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].


Adjust the minutes:
Push the Control knob to [Back Search] or [Forward Search].

The items that are blinking are items that can be
adjusted.

Adjust each item
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].

Repeat step 8 and 9 operation and adjust the
date

Step 11:


Exit Date adjustment mode
Press the [MENU] button.

Step 12:


Setting the date format.

Select Date Mode
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].
Select the "Date Mode" display.

Step 13:


Select the date format
Push the Control knob to [Back Search] or [Forward Search].

Step 14:


Exit Menu mode
Press the [MENU] button.

How do you set the clock on the Kenwood DPX302

In the standby mode:

1. Push the Control knob towards up or down, select "CLK ADJ"

2. Press the Control knob for about 1 second, the clock display blinks

3. Push the Control knob towards up or down to set the hour

It says that In Standby mode

I have a gpx hm3817dtblk shelf system and i was wondering if you can get the alarm to play a cd instead of the radio or if you can do either one and how? Or does it even have an alarm?

Setting the Clock
a. Press the STANDBY button until the unit is in standby mode.
When the unit is in standby mode, the STANDBY button will be red.
b. Press the CLK ADJ. button. The time will begin to blink.
c. Press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
d. Press the CLK ADJ. button to set the adjusted time.
Setting the Alarm
a. Press the STANDBY button until the unit is in standby mode.
When the unit is in standby mode, the STANDBY button will be red.
b. Press the ALARM SET button. The time will begin to blink.
c. Press the FUNCTION button to seleect CD, Radio, AUX, or Buzzer.
For Buzzer mode, the display will not show any indication.

An alarm clock icon will appear on the LCD Display when the alarm is set.

Cant adjust the time o the clock

  1. Select Clock Adjustment item during Menu mode (In Standby mode see below for standby mode explained). Select the "Clock Adjust" display.
  2. Enter Clock adjustment mode. Press and hold the control knob for at least one second. The clock will blink.
  3. Adjusting the clock. Push the control knob towards the left or right to select hours or minutes. To adjust each item turn the control knob or push it towards up or down.
  4. Exit clock adjustment mode. Press the (FNC) button.

  • Turn on the power.
  • When the power is ON, select a source.
  • SRC Select mode 1: PRess the (SRC) button and then turn the Control nob or push it toward left or right.
  • To determine the selected source, press the Control knob.
  • SRC Select mode 2: Pressing this button each time switches between sources.
  • Turner ("Turner"), USB or iPOD ("USB" or "iPod"), CD ("Compact Disc"), Auxiliary input ("AUX"), and Standby ("STANDBY")
  • Press at least 1 second to turn off the power

Here is how to set the clock :
Enter standby Mode:
Press the [SRC] button,Select the "Standby" display.
Select clock Adjustment mode:
Push the control knob towards FM or AM, thenn Select the CLK ADJ display.
Enter Clock Adjust mode:
Press the control knob at least 1 second until the clock display blinks.
Adjust the Hours:
Push the control knob towards AM or FM
Adjust the Minutes:
Push the control knob towards |<< or >>|
Exit Clock adjustment mode:
Press the [Menu] button.
That should do it!

Below is an excerpt from the User's Manual:
In Standby mode, Manual Clock Adjustment (this adjustment can be done when the <Synchronize Clock> is set as OFF).
1. Select Clock Adjustment mode, Push the Control **** to [FM] or [AM]. Select the "Clock Adjust" display.
2. Enter Clock Adjust mode, Press the Control **** for at least 1 second. The clock display blinks.
3. Adjust the hours, Push the Control **** to [FM] or [AM].
Adjust the minutes, Push the Control **** to [4] or [¢].
4. Exit Clock adjustment mode, Press the [MENU] button.

Want a clock setting on my display window

According to the manual, in STANDBY MODE, push the control knob towards FM or AM and select CLK ADJ. Press the control knob for at least 1 second, the clock display blinks. Adjust the hours by pushing the control knob towards FM or AM, and the minutes by pushing the control knob right or left. Exit CLK ADJ mode by pressing the MENU button. Hope this helped.
