Check the thermostat and see that it is set to the cooling mode. Outside unit may not be powered up, check breakers for A/C and insure that it is turned on.

Auto/On set to ON. Fan runs.

Sounds like the thermostat, the way to verify is to unplug indoor unit, remove thermostat, take pic of wiring with phone or label the wires as to the terminals. Carefully twist the yellow,(Y) Red (R) and the green (G) together. Plug the furnace back in, if the unit operates normally, replace the thermostat. I am basing this on the fact that the blower speed is changing. This could also be an anomaly within the circuit board in the furnace section, not likely though as the outside unit (condenser) is not controlled n by the indoor board unless this is a heat pump. hope this helps. Do I need a outside cooling unit for a Coleman 7900 Presidential lll gas heat and cooling unit

Yeah, youd have to look at the model on the Indoor coil box, furnace will be setting on top of it. Youll need the model off that coil box to get the correct tonnage of the outdoor condensing unit, you can go 1/2 ton smaller on outdoor for greater efficiency.

I have a ( Goodman CKL-49 1 ) fan was not running, I used a small wooden stick to get it to run. fan is now running but cold air is not being produced what can I do can you please help?!

The split run capacitor in the condensing unit is bad. It needs to be replaced. The reason the system is not cooling is because the compressor it not running. The capacitor is needed for the fan and the compressor to run properly. That is why you had to give the fan a kickstart with a stickstart.
Hope this helps.

Fan will not shut off after heat cycle is finished. Need to shut off power to furnace. GMP100-3

Are you talking about the indoor fan. Some have a time delay to allow the blower to cool the furnace and make use of the heat built up in the heat exchanger.

Sounds like your indoor fan motor is not working, check either the cap or the indoor fan motor it's self.

Thermostat wiring

W is normally for heating and Y is normally for cooling. You must be misreading the literature. If Y and W are jumpered you would have heat and cool at the same time. R terminal is normally the power to the thermostat, Y is to the cooling at the heat pump A/C terminal board. G is for the indoor fan operation at the air handler or furnace. W is for heating and with a heat pump you may have a w2 terminal. W1 would be for the first stage or primary heat. W2 would be for the secondary or backup heat be it furnace or electric.
