Whirlpool duet front loading washer

After the load is finished and put in the dryer, the washer slowly fills with about 1-2 quarts of water, over a 24-48 hour period. What can be causing this? I can get rid of it by using the drain cycle.

I have this problem occasionally as well. I am sure it is the fill valve as suggested. However, I can shut the water off to the washer and the problem goes away for a while and I can leave the water on for months before it happens again.

Now if I can only get the spin cycle to work properly. The drom seems to be loose causing excesive wobble resulting in error code F7.

Your inlet water valve is not closing and needs replacing, in mean time turn water off between washings.

Machine will not finish cycle and water remains in washing machine

if the washing machine does not drain, continues to fill or fill too slowly the issue could be the pressure switch. if you have a multimeter use it to find any electrical issues if there is no reading the pressure switch needs to be replaced

My washer fills VERY slowly and will not stop filling after cycle

It sounds like the water inlet valve is stuck partially open and needs to be replaced. It's located on the back of the machine where the hoses attach.

Puddle under 1 yr old washing machine hours after it is finished

Sounds like either the gasket on the inlet is leaking or not tight or the solenoid housing is cracked causing the leak. When its in use the pressure from the line is realased when the solenoid is opened letting water in. When not in use the solenoid stays closed allowing pressure from the line to build causing the gasket to leak. Check your gaskets, and solenoid housing for leaks and then check to make sure your water pressure is not set too high.

Drum is filling with water after each wash

There is only 2 possibilities for the drum to fill with water after it has finished.
Firstly, if the empty pipe is connected to the sink outlet pipe, the water can syphon back into the washer if the pipe is too low, thereby slowly filling the washer when not in use.
Solution is to lift the outlet pipe higher.than the bottom of the sink.
The other reason is the inlet valve is not shutting off properly.
To prove if this is the case, turn the water off at the valve, if it is hot and cold fill, then turn the hot off only, and wait and see if water comes in over a period of time, if it does not then you need to replace the hot valve.
If water stills comes in with hot turned off, then you need to replace the cold valve.
If cold fill only , turn off cold and wait to see if any water comes in, if it does not, then replace cold valve.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Water very slowly fills Whirlpool washer

Check the screens inside the water valve. They get plugged sometimes. Also check both ends of your hoses. When installed most companies put screens or screen (1) in the cold water line at the valve.

Indesit 1200 washer/dryer instructions

probable cause is just poor water flow from outside. switch water off. undo hoses and check not kinked. in each hose, there should be a gauze filter. clean this. look inside the valve spigot and check no dirt buid-up. put hoses in a bucket and check water flow is ok. remove drawer and check holes in top of box are clear
