My mp3 player wont play anything

I synched my philips go gear 2 gb to my laptop, It worked but only played 7 songs I could never get to the other songs to play ,so I re-synched it adding more songs now the 2 gb shows it full but wont play one song , when I try is says 'no song found' both the folders and music , I don't know how to remove songs off of the go gear , either ,so I am stuck with a full memory and no songs to listen to.

Hmmm, that means that you may have synched some songs that are not fully compatible with your go-gear. although it is still mp3, it may have some "codecs" issues with it. and thus making your go gear crazy. what you can do is delete all the songs you have there, and make a fresh start from scratch, that way, you'll know.

Phillips gogear play downloads songs but doesnt downloaded song

in philips go gear device it wont show the song or video unless or untill its a compatible one(e.g it wont play real player .flv files) to the player..check whether you can play the song from the device in your computer. if yes try a different youtube converter software.

Playing songs that won't play and deleting songs I don't want.

when you synch your device to windows media player 11 on the side bar under the name of your device says songs click on it then find the songs you don't want right click and delete as for the songs that won't play i'd say it's probably because it doesn't support the format of the music

I synched my songs to my player, yet they won't play

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).

Load the Philips software onto your computer. You have to load the songs onto the player using WMP (Windows Media Player) 8 or 9. Connect the player using the USB cable. Run the Philips Go Gear Digital Audio Player software. Upgrade the firmware. This will format the player and erase everything you have done so far. Start WMP. Click on the Synch tab.It will have 2 window panes. In the right side, at the top, there is a drop list. Select the player from the list. Now create a synch list by clicking on edit playlist. Once you have added the songs, click Start Synch. That's all there is to it. Ian
