Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

My problem is with my Zen V Plus mp3 player. The screen says firmware problem. I have tried to reload firmnware with a update, but it still says firmaware problem. I hope you can give me some help in solving this problem. If it needs to be sent in to be repaired can you recommend a place? Judy Greenhaw jagpg@sbcglobal.net

HI,

You can try one thing first just format the player and then reload the firmware im sure this will fix it.And if it doesn't then you'll have to return it to the Zen people..
I'll give you the contact details on my next post..

To format your player try this: 1. select Manage
in My computer by Right click. 2. Select Disk Management
3 select youplayer as disk 4. Select Format by right click and go ahead.

'm not saying you did this but this could cause that to happen = Make sure you x/close out your media player before unplugging your mp3 player to prevent freezing and other problems .

Your problem is one for the tech support team you need to e-mail them or call them = http://www.creative.com/support/

you probably have corrupt music files and can send it in to them or try the link below

You can try to hook the Zen up to your computer and reformat it like a hard drive then try to reinstall the firm ware. As for sending it to a place to be repaired I would sudgest that you send it into the manufacture. There is a chance that if it is still rather new that they will fix it due to a manufacture defect.
