-   On XP Media Center edition the install routine causes a stop error (blue screen of death).
MS knowledge base states this is a problem with the driver (one of those for the printer?). No solution from MS.
Also (maybe related) during the install I was asked to upgrade the .NET framework, which caused the first installation to go completely nuts (nice one lexmark).
Also Win XP reports that the driver has not been certified for XP.
Really, how can any company release such shoddy junk?
I have now tried this instalation 10 times hitout any joy.-   Guest

I've read that inkjets are best for home photos. But I really want a color laser printer ( fax not necessary)for my home that at least does decent photos for my personal use. Any suggestions?

The printer keeps turning off. It is a Dell All-in-One Printer 926, CNH9FB1. Sometimes it turns off in a minute, usually within five minutes. I've tried disconnecting the power cord and reconnecting. Sometimes turning the computer off and then turning it on makes it work. Then it disconnects again. Ross Mackenzie chaut@verizon.net
