Monitor going going gone

My monitor started getting fuzzy and going in and out and now it has died. sent it off and was told that the entire motherboard needs replacing. However this message board indicates that perhaps i can just change the graphic card out. Can you expand?

The external monitor has proven there is no problem with the video graphics card, I'am concerned that customers have complained about faulty screens.
I have changed a lot of displays without issue, there is a major circuit board mounted behind the screen that plays a roll in picture production so if something goes wrong you get all kinds of symptoms from fuzzy images to multi color lines to a blank screen. I would suggest getting your money back because of his track record, also go online to Samsung and contact customer support and the technical department to see if something was over looked. Question! is this a new or used LCD display?

Vgn ar630e fuzzy screen

Hook a spare monitor to the video output usually on the back, if picture okay! the LCD screen will need to be replaced on the laptop, but if both show the same symptom it is the Video Graphics Card normally built into the motherboard.

It has different color lines going frrom top to bottom

The video card maybe dying. Try an external monitor.

If the same problem persists then it is the video card. The video card may or may not be replaceable depending on the make/model of laptop. If it is onboard graphics, then the entire motherboard will need replacing.

If the problem disappears after using an external monitor then the screen maybe dying. You may be able to replace it yourself by sourcing the correct lcd panel and/or inverter from online suppliers and following the service manual provided by your laptop's manufacturer (if they provide such information)

Odd red fuzzy screen on desktop

Hardware failure in either the video chip or the lcd panel itself. To check which connect the laptop to an external monitor and see what appears: if the lines are still there then it's the chip - unreplaceable, the entire laptop is good for the skip; if the image is crystal clear then the panel must be replaced. If the laptop is still in warranty send it to them.

2 inch wide band of fuzzy lines in centre of screen...any ideas?

The monitor has blown some pixels.

If it is still in warranty it will need to be sent away. If not it is best to purchase a new monitor. The repairs will cost almost as much as a new one.

Monitor is gray color and fuzzy.

Can you tell us how this happened??

When you start nothing is being displayed then it might be due to your video card not working! If it gets stucked when you r working then their might be problem with your video driver!
