Using this as a company phone, we need to change the person's name on the display when one person leaves the company and another is hired. Do you have the instructions on how to do this without having to call and have someone come in to the office to do this? Thanks

Hi We have a Nortel T7316E phone system. Staff

Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.
Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344 (with the handset in its cradle).When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number.
Enter extension number you want to change the name on. (i.e 202)
Then press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should say LINE ACCESS
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display should say CAPABILITIES.
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display say Name(Traci).
press the Chng soft key.
use the dial pad to enter the name. advance using the arrow soft key to go to the next letter
ex. Winston = 9 -> 4,4,4 -> 6,6 -> 7,7,7,7-> 8-> 6,6,6-> 6,6
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) to enter the name.
Press the release key when finished

How can i activate internet on nokia 2690?

First of all you should go to Internet service provider office.after paying the internet activation charge,they will activate internet on your nokia 2690 mobile.but you should setup your settings yourself there.they will add and setup your mobile sim card number as an internet service buyer on their records.rest of all you should set up your internet GPRS settings on your nokia 2690.here are the tips about how to setup the GPRS setting on your nokia 2690 as follows.please keep it up.
1) Open your Nokia 2690
2) Click on Settings
3) Click on Configuration
4) Click on Personal Configuration settings
5) Type your Account name( may be probably your service provider company name)
6) Leave Blank User Name
7) Leave Blank Password
8) Click on Use preferred access point
9) Click on No
10) Click on Access point settings
11) Click on Proxy
12) Choose Enable
13) Leave Blank Proxy address
14) Leave Blank Proxy port
15) Click on Data Bearer
16) Choose Packet data
17) Click on Bearer settings
18) Click on Packet data access point
(may be probably your internet service provider company name)
19) Click on Network type
20) Choose IPv4
21) Click on Authentication type
22) Choose Normal

23) Leave Blank password

After Configuration your personal settings go back:-

enter the menu of your phone, go to profile choose the profile you want and personalize it.
when personalizing change the name of the profile to the you want and activate the profile.

The automated recording that comes on when the lines are full needs to be changed and the recording of an employees name on the directory needs to be changed. I have already changed the display name on the...

The persons name is recorded in their personal mail box.Thats done by pressing open voicemail or feature 981 followed by their password, press 8 or admin and press 1 to re record thier name in the company directory.
To re-record greetings, enter Feature 983. if your system has 2 digit intercom #s your default password is 120000 if your system has 3 digit intercom #s your default password is 1020000. once you have entered the password you will see 3 selections you can make .use the three soft keys under the display and select AA (auto Attendant). next press greeting and greeting again. next it'll ask for the greeting number your probably working with greeting 1. press record to start and ok when finished. dont forget to save the greeting or it will be deleted if you exit early. hang up when finished.

Pick up the handset, and dial '0', to connect to the Telephone Services & Information Technology department where you work. Ask them for instructions.

Or, dial "0", and ask to be connected to Human Resources department where you were just hired, and ask them how to submit your resignation, since they obviously don't care enough for their newly-hired employees to give them any "welcome to our company" familiarization training.

I have a problem with voice mail with a meridian hooked to NT5806DA-93. The system on voice mail every second pulse off so that only half of each message is played at a half second interval

Voicemail Features Norstar Common To Check Your Voicemail:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Enter your password
3. From here you can listen to messages, change your greeting, change your password, etc.
To Leave a Message for Someone in Your Office:
1. Press the Leave Message key or Feature 980
2. Enter the mailbox number (extension number. of the person you want to leave a message for
3. The display will show the name of the mailbox owner, press OK
4. Leave message
To Access Your Voicemail box from Another Phone:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Press the OTHER softkey
3. At the LOG: prompt, enter your mailbox#(extension #. and your password all together followed by the "#" sign
4. Press the OK softkey
To Access Your Mailbox from Outside of the Office:
1. Call the main office number or your DID (if applicable.
2. If the call is answered by a receptionist, have them transfer you to your voicemail box
3. If the call is answered by the company greeting, or your personal greeting, Enter: * *
4. At the prompt, enter your mailbox #(extension #. and password all together
To Transfer Someone to a Voicemail Box:
1. Press the Transfer to Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 986

To Change Your Personal Greeting:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Enter your password
3. Press the ADMIN softkey
4. Press the GREET softkey

6. Press the PRIME softkey
7. Press the YES softkey
8. At the tone, record your new greeting, press the OK softkey to end your recording and then the OK softkey again to accept the new recording
To Record Your Alternate Greeting (Used when on vacation or out of the office.:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Enter your password
3. Press the ADMIN softkey
4. Press the GREET softkey
5. Pres the REC softkey
6. Press the ALT softkey
7. Press the YES softkey
8. At the tone, record your new greeting, press the OK softkey to end your recording, then the OK softkey again to accept the new recording.
9. You then need to have your voicemail box now play the Alternate Greeting, Press the GREET softkey
10. Press the ChOOSE softkey
11. Press ALT softkey
12. Display will show: "Accept msgs: Y", Press the OK softkey to have your voicemail box accept messages while your Alternate Greeting is turned on, or press the CHNG softkey to change the "Y" to an "N" if you do not want your voicemail box to accept messages.
13. When you return to the office, make sure you go back into your voicemail box and have it play the PRIME greeting

To Log Into System Administration:
1. Enter Feature 983
2. The display will show "LOG", enter your login password
a. If your company extensions are 2 digits long enter "120000"

To Create a New Mailbox:

4. Enter the mailbox number (extension. you want to delete
5. Select the softkey under "Delete"
To Reset a Mailbox Password:
1. Log into system administration
2. Select the softkey under "MBOX"
3. Select the softkey under "Chng"
4. Enter the mailbox number you want to reset the password for
5. The display shows "Reset Password"
6. Select the softkey under "RESET"
7. Press the release key
*The new password will be "0000", the system will ask the user to change this the first time they log into their mailbox using this password.

wat system using?
find out the adminstrator phone (pic to set the speed dial)
must hv displayed phone.
press MODE will see PHONE NAME press HOLD display show ID DN it means key in extention number, after that key in name, press HOLD to confirm, repeat step for other extention name
press MODE untill time appear

Personal directory?

That's in a different location in the system. It sounds like you're using DID (where everyone has their own phone number). Your installer probably didn't assign names to the DID numbers, which does just what you are asking for.
