WELBILT bread maker model ABM550

Is there a recipe book available for this model? Also is the piece in the bottom of the dough holder supposed to come out? The can comes out but the gasket and bottom piece stay in machine. Bakes bread fine, though. Was purchased 2nd-hand.

Yes, there is a recipe book. It's called Easy Baking by Tom Lacalamita. But you can use other recipe books, too. The only thing you need to know is that for this machine, is the yeast goes in first and the liquid goes in last. If there is a specific recipe you are still looking for, I can try to share it.

How to make pizza dough

Best you use the pizza dough recipe found toward the back of your instruction manual & recipes cookbook.

Here's more on the subject:

Use your make + your model + your model number (omitting any dashes, slashes, or spaces) + the word RECIPES + the abbreviation PDF to perform an Internet search. Google is best for these types of searches.

Example: If you owned the Fredericks Home Bakery model KHB-178 you would want to enter your search as:

Hope this helps & Happy Hunting!

Note: Breadmakers model numbers are usually located on the backside or bottom of the unit, either on a printed decal or raised plastic embossment, and usually followed by abbreviations such as mdl, mdl no, model, model no, type, style, art, art no, article no, cat, cat no or catalog no.

The problem is I don't have any instructions. This pastrty press is way old.

maybe this will help :)
cookie presses come in a wide variety of choices; some are even electric, but there is nothing like a good old-fashioned cookie press for the sheer fun of use and the quality of the end product. The Mirro Cookie Press contains a central cylinder with a screw-on end that holds the cookie extrusion plates and tips for shaping cookies and pastries. On the other end of the cylinder is a cap with a large screw running through the center. On the outside of the cap is a handle for turning the press inside the cylinder. The screw is attached to a plate, which pushes the dough through the cookie press shaping plate or tip onto the cookie sheet, and it's ready to bake. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); });
Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Recipe and ingredients for cookie dough
  • Soft dishcloth
  • Mirro Cookie press with at least one plate
  • Non-stick cookie sheet
  • Spatula
  • Cooling rack
  1. Step 1 Wash the cookie press and the plates in hot soapy water. Handle the press carefully to avoid damaging the threaded ends of the cylinder or the screw-on caps. Dry all parts thoroughly with a soft dishcloth.
  2. Step 2 Screw the pressure plate all the way inside the top cap and screw it onto the cylinder.
  3. Step 3 Prepare the cookie dough. See links below for recipes or look for any recipe labeled "pressed cookies" (sometimes called "spritz" cookies.) Follow the recipe directions exactly as the right consistency is extremely important when making pressed cookies. The dough should be soft but not crumbly.
  4. Step 4 Fill the cylinder with the dough. At this point, if you realize the dough is too stiff, you might try adding an egg yolk. If the dough is too moist, add more flour a tablespoon at a time.
  5. Step 5 Place the extrusion plate or pastry tip inside the bottom lid and screw it onto the cylinder. Turn the handle until the dough is ready to come out of the extrusion plate or pastry tip.
  6. Step 6 Place the bottom of the cookie press on the baking sheet and turn the handle until enough dough has come out to see the shape of the cookie. Carefully lift the cookie press straight up so as not to smear the dough.
  7. Step 7 Bake according to the instructions for the recipe. Let cookies set on cookie sheet for 3 to 5 minutes before removing with a spatula. Place the cookies on a cooling rack.

Are there instructions for the Norpro ravioli attachment? I have a Norpro two piece set attachment for my Norpro pasta maker. It came with no instructions whatsoever. Are there any printed instructions...

Just bought one,so you're in luck lol.
Roll pasta dough until thin and translucent.
Dust lightly with flour.
Cut dough into four rectangular strips, each about 12 inches by 4 inches.
Place on strip of dough over the frame.(the metal part)
Press dough into frame with the indented tray.(plastic piece)
Remove the indented tray.
Fill pouches as desired.
Place a second strip of dough over the strip with the filling in it and press strips together with your fingers.
With a rolling pin, roll across the dough covered frame, gently at first and then increase pressure until the zig zag edges of the frame are visible through the pasta. The ravioli is now sealed. Remove excess dough and re-roll.
Remove ravioli from frame by by tapping it on counter.

I find that these instructions aren't the best. They should tell you to lightly flour the frame before using or else it's hard to remove the ravioli. I also find that tapping it makes no difference...I always have to push them out through the bottom.
Good luck and enjoy!
