Question about Protron TPL-C01

Stand broke Proton had me send the unit back to them in Sept. 2007. They recv'd it and every time I call they say- it will be 7-10 days. The last time I called was on March 17th and they said it would be 40 days. I just spoke with Max and Jack and they said just be a little more patient, that they are working on getting the unit in. I told them my patience was at its end and I wished to speak w/someone higher up to get my money back. So sorry no refunds...I asked them how long was I expected to wait??1 week 1 month one year. The only answer I got was just a little longer. Yea right. If I had known this I never would have sent the unit back and would have jerry-rigged the stand. What a LOUSY LOUSY company. I am so frustrated, but my hands are tied and they are in the drivers seat. I bought this unit directly from Proton/Spectroniq, not thru SNBC.

    I've reported them to the BBB - found out that is really no big deal. Consumers are at their mercy. Wish I could hurt them in their pocketbook - actually wouldn't mind putting them out of business.......

I SYMPATHIZE WITH YOU ,went thru the same thing , my problem was the battery replacement ,ever since I got this unit (dec. 05 ) from ebay , theres being a manufacture defect on the battery , it wont recharge , well maybe only for 3 min. then its LOW BATTERY on screen . call cuatomer service for a year , and they keep telling me BATTERY is on back order , at the end of the year they got concern and got my information and promise they will call as soon as a new battery is available.
WELL?? its already april 2008 , still waiting , and I gave up , still use my PROTRON , at home and car . ITS A GREAT UNIT , but lousy CUSTOMER SERVICE ,THEY JUST DONT CARE , THE JUST GIVING YOU THE RUN AROUND .

sounds like either the ground wire at the fuel sending unit is bad or your sending unit in the tank broke.

When you push either the remote or the switch at the door, the garage door will go down almost to the bottom and then come back up and the light will blink several times. This does not happen all the time....

Your safety reversing sensors must be connected and aligned correctly before the garage door opener will close. An obstruction in the path of the sensor will also cause your door to not close.
This sensor is an electronic beam, which is sent between two sending and receiving “eyes”. These eyes face each other and are located just inside your garage door. They may need to be adjusted so the beam from the sending eye is properly detected by the receiving eye. Once the receiving eye “sees” the beam from the sending eye, a green indicator light will glow on the top of the eye.

Can it be fixed?

The panel may have been damaged but remove the back from the unit and reset all connectors.

can you send a mms pic,ok.?

if you can not send or recv mms contact your sim network and ask for the mms settings they will send them to your phone this will enable you to send recv mms .

I can't recieve picture text messages from anyone and i can't send them either.


can you recv/send txts msg ok.?

i would contact contact your network provider see if the phone has the correct settings to send recv picture msgs.
they will give you the correct settings
