Samsung G600 When I connect my Samsung G600 phone to my computer by USB i can connect initially but if I click on one of the icons to manage my files or download photos from the phone the following message is displayed: 'Another PC Studio programme is performing a time consuming operation. The simple solution to the problem on Vista with service pack1 is: should work fine on first connection, if you reconnect again in the same session, I get the same message. Turn off the phone and turn it on again. Works fine for me every time! NickW

You may need to download PC Studio from Samsung for your phone first and the phone is confused because its not installed. If you already have installed this app, remove and reinstall it as it may be a corrupted intallation. If all that fails call Samsung for further more specific help.

How do I transfer pictures from my Samsung phone to my computer?

Which model samsung ? Im assuming its an Android handset.

Plug in the usb cable to your PC/Laptop and also the phone, your phone should beep. Now drag down the top bar and select the usb connected notification, and turn it on.

Wait a few moments and it should popup on your screen, select view files and folders.

Now just drag the pictures over to a folder on your desktop.

--------------------------------------------------

Option 2 (lazy way)

Download the photobucket app from the Market, create and account and login. Upload the pics, when its finished visit www.photobucket.com on your computer and login with the same details and the photos will be there.

step 2
download this file" Samsung_PC_Studio_323_IF5" (google search it or goto samsung website)

save them to a new folder on your desktop, or to a place you normally download files to (do not open or run them)
right click each exe icon select properties and select compatibility tab

Samsung galaxy s I9000 mtp driver

  1. The x86 link gets you an exe file. This can be unpacked/unzipped with 7zip freeware in exactly the same way as a zip file.
  2. Navigate to device manager (control panel ->Device Manager or Administrative tools -> computer management -> device manager)
  3. Navigate to "portable devices" or "MTP" in device manager, whichever one shows up with the error. There will probably be a little yellow error triangle on your device that has the problem.
  4. Right clicking on the faulty MTP device in device manager and hitting "update driver software" gave me the option of searching automatically and browsing my computer manually. Don't select Search automatically as it will fail. Click browse my computer for driver software - the manual way and navigate to the folder you unzipped the drivers into, tick include subfolders and hit OK.
  5. The drivers will load and indicate your I9000 (Galaxy S) device was connected.

Hi i recently bought Samsung C3303 cell i nead to upload songs from Pc to cell, hence can you please guide me how to upload. Thanks, Sandhya

Hi Sandhya,

All you need is a PC Suite software installed on your Laptop/Desktop for establishing a data exchange connection to and from your handset & PC. Generally they give a installation CD along with the packed unit but if not then go to this site to download it:

http://www.samsung.com/in/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=01013000&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=GT-C3303&prd_ia_sub_class_cd=P

Click on the "Software" option next to the Manuals option and in the last column you'll see a small EXE icon under the heading File. Click on it and then when asked to save in the Save dialogue window do it. (Its a large file approx. 127 MB) So you'll need a good speed broadband connection and enough Disk space and of course patients while it downloads.

If your connection is slow, don't worry just make a cup of tea or coffee and sip it while watching the download progressing. Ha! Just kidding.

Okay all said and done AND now assuming you have got the installer software either on CD or downloaded, you ned to just run setup.exe and follow the instructions on screen. You may be asked to reboot. So do as asked. After the reboot, you'll need a USB cable (that also must be part of general accessories along with your handset) with one [small sized] end connected to your handset and the other standard USB end that goes to the PC's USB port (either in front or back as the case may be). The moment you connect your handset to your PC, the PC-Suite software will auto-detect your phone and you should be able to see your phone listed in the My Computer as a either a Removable Drive or a Mobile Device. Once you are able to access your mobile's folders from here, you will be able to drag and drop files to and from your PC <-> Mobile and that's it. You have managed to establish a data exchange connection using the PC Suite software.

Enjoy good music and many features that your phone has to offer...

Hope this helps you.

WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL " SAMSUNG USB DRIVE " I AM GETTING MSG " CAN NOT INSTALL BECAUSE NPS IS NOT AVAILABLE".WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL " SAMSUNG PC STUDIO " I AM GETTING MSG " INSTALATION FAILED"

The NPS Main error is quite common and well known problem by the Samsung. I suggest that when this happens you restart your computer, then your phone. After you have done this, try connecting again to your PC (it should not be necessary to click on "Search devices", if you need to there is still a problem).

If this doesn't solve your problem you can try to install an even newer version of New PC Studio (available under the GT-B2100). According to me, you need to go to the Samsung website and download the update software and the usb drivers for the phone , this should correct the crashing issue on the pc.

Uninstall and install again while the internet is connected. It would upgrade the PC studio after installation. The new firmware version IH8 is available through Samsung's New PC Studio which is currently only available for Windows users.

A new version of New PC Studio has recently been released, which has resolved this issue for many people. It can be found by visiting www.samsung.com and going to the download centre. The new software only appears under the Tocco Ultra (GT-S8300) for the moment.

A step-by-step version of my solution is here:
1. Make sure you have administrative rights to the computer;

2. Install the USB Drivers from the CD ROM (remembering that this doesn't actually install them at all on an XP machine! I have no Vista or W7 environment to test with so I can't comment if the behaviour is different);

3. Connect the phone using the supplied USB cable and select PC Studio mode on the handset;

4. Bring up the XP Device manager (right click on My Computer, select Manage and click on Device Manager)

5. Find the SAMSUNG Mobile Modem entry which should be identified as being in error state;

6. Right click on SAMSUNG Mobile Modem and select Properties;

7. Go to the Details tab and note the bit of the string between "&"s that contains PID_xxxx;

8. Use Windows Explorer search to find the PID string for your phone in the c:\Program Files\Samsung directory hierarchy (should search all subdirectories) and note which USB Drivers sub-directory contains the string. (Mine was '3', yours could be different;

9. Go back to the Samsung Mobile Modem Properties panel (from Device manager) and select General tab;

10. Using the Install driver button to start the Hardware Update Wizard make sure the "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" radio button is selected;

11. Make sure the "Include this location in the search" tick box only is checked;

12. Click "Browse" and navigate to the directory identified at 8. above;

13. Click "Next" and hopefully the driver will be installed;

14. If Device manager reports a different device in error state then repeat from 9. for that device.

Hope this helps anyone who is stuck with this.

Samsung g600

Check if your batteries are getting hot when charging. If it is, then your charger is working. Maybe it is your battery.
If you want to store your files in your memory card, you can do so by inserting your card into a memory card reader.
I dont know if samsung is like motorola wherein, if the phone has a memory card and the connection setting for the phone is to read the memory card by usb. Then windows xp recognizes this as a removable storage device.
Or if you want to store files directly to your phone memory, you will need the software cd included in the box.

SAMSUNG G600 USB CONNECTION PROBLEM

The Samsung software does not work properly with the G600 (take note Samsung) On your phone go to: Settings>phone settings>USB settings>Ask on connection. exit phone and when you plug in your usb it will ask what connection type, choose Mass Storage and it will appear on My Computer as a portable drive, you can drag and drop to folders. You may have to install the USB drivers from the disc or site, but it may work without.
