Jensen vm 9311ts parking brake code

I read your solution about the parking brake using the code.I am reinstalling mine in a different vehicle,do i still hookup the pink wire to the brake and then use the code or leave it off then use the code?can u explain in detail
how to do this? your help will be greatly appreciated.
