the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

How to Uninstall and Remove AVG Free Edition Completely?

I've setup a step-by-step AVG Free Edition removal plan for you so you can conduct the removal as soon as possible.
Uninstall and remove AVG Free Edition manually
* Locate and remove AVG Free Edition by deleting the related files, a trained software professional would better do this job.
* Eliminate the registry entries if you can.
* Delete connected directions.
By doing a quick search via the Internet, you can find out what files and registry entries need to be deleted. But this removal is only recommended for computer experts, for deleting the wrong file or registry key may render Windows unbootable.

I INSTALLED THE AVG 8.5. NOW I NEED LICENSE NUMBER TO START IT. PLEASE HELP ME.

Hi, If you Installed AVG 8.5 Internet Security then you may get a free trial period if you dont then you may need to purchase a serial key, however if you wish to use the AVG 8.5 Free edition please click on HERE.

Make sure yo click on the Free Edition. You may need to uninstall the previous version of AVG for the Free Edition to work, this Free Edition will generate a serial key for you for use with the Free Edition only.

Hope this helps!

Avg 8.5 updating not working

Hi!

The 8.5 vesrin is NOT the free one, AVG site says that the newest version is 8.0 for free.
Uninstall that 8.5, download the 8.0 and install it. That will solve your problems. And the AVG site is up. never been down.
Here you can download the latest FREE version:
http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition

And here is the latest updates:

Good luck

Outlook unable to send/receive emails

Sounds as if AVG is not configured properly for your email service. Some free anti-virus applications are a bit fickled. If your internet service provider is Comcast you can use McAfee for free. You need to do a complete, clean uninstall of AVG, see if they have a Removal Tool on their site. In addition check to make sure Windows Firewall or whatever firewall application you are using, is configured properly to allow Port 110 Incoming, and Port 25 Outgoing are configured to allow.

Uninstall of software

Sounds like you did not do things in the correct order or you did not reboot between the AVG uninstall and the Kapersky install, so that it looked like AVG was still loaded.

Since Kapersky is not installed, the best way to proceed is to start from a fresh reboot, download and re-install the AVG free edition to get the registry entries corrected. Don't bother with updates as it is coming back out again. Reboot and uninstall AVG. Reboot again and verify AVG is gone before attempting to install the Kapersky.

AVG free can be downloaded from free.grisoft.com assuming you mean the 8.0 version, not 7.5, otherwise try downloading from www.filehippo.com and select the older version.
