I have AT&T as a provider and they are not willing to help me configure the phone so I can send simple txt messages with a picture attached. Even Tier 2 Tech support wouldn't help.
I called Samsung UK (where the phone is originally from) and they referred me to ...AT&T - my provider.
Something as simple as sending a txt msg w/picture shouldn't be so
difficult...can anyone help me with the settings so I can actually use
this phone for anything other than calls and the camera?
Thanks bunches. hello...i have the same problem with the samsung u600 and can you help me please with the phone setup for picture message....you can reach me at email@example.com...thank you for taking your time...
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

What phone? Apple/android? Before you go any further, you will need an mms certificate from your network provider. They're free to contact. They'll send you a txt message that has a configuration settings. Install that. That has every thing you need. If that fails, ask again, stating what make of phone and network provider. Hope that helps.
It is important for you to know that you have to have the multimedia message or configurations stored on your phone before you can send or receive multimedia messages. Multimedia messages include pictures, sounds and other items. You can get the configurations by calling your service provider and asking them to send you the settings. When the settings arrive, you have to save it to your phone and you should be able to send multimedia messages then. In summary, you have to call the customer care of your service provider and they would give you further information on how to get the configurations on your phone. Unfortunately, i can't help you in this aspect as different networks have different procedures. Hope this was helpful? Please comment for more information if you need any.
if you have a txt messaging package you can send the pictures thought a multimedia message.
on your face book account goto account settings, under mobile select add a phone. it will send you a conformation txt to you phone. Do what the txt says and after the conformation you will be a to txt photos strait from your phone.
Hi, the problem you are having is with the settings that are stored on your phone, the chances are these have never been setup correctly and you usually get this problem when you change the sim card in the phone to another sim or another network.
the settings you need for picture messages is the mms and the settings you need for the internet are the wap settings so if your internet is working on the phone just ask for the mms which is the media message settings or if you need the wap which is wireless access protocol settings then ask for these as well now all you need to do to solve this problem is call your service provider and tell them the make and model of phone you have got then ask them to send you the latest mms and wap settings.
your service provider wont charge you anything for doing this and they will send you the settings via text message this will then update your phone to the latest settings and you will be able to use the phone as you want to then.
you can sometimes send the settings to the phone yourself via your service providers web site, but not all service providers offer this service so you would have to check.
the quickest and easiest way would be to give them a call and ask them to send you the latest settings. they will do this for free so just give them a call and your phone will be then set up correctly.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
easiest way is to call 3 your network provider. Explain that you need to set up pic msging The will need to provision your phone, and then they will be able to send you a text with all the pic msg settings , you just need to open the txt and it will update your settings
Hi , The settings for this function are stored on the phone via txt message from your service provider (virgin). When you use your sim in a different phone all you do is request settings to be resent and install from the options that come with the message , check the phones/sim stored numbers for virgin to txt "get settings" , or check online for the number to request
You need to call your service provider and ask them to send you the MMS settings.
They will give you a PIN number and send the settings via a txt msg.
When you receive the txt. select SAVE or INSTALL.
Input the PIN when prompted.
these setting are normally supplied by the provider.
You will need to contact them again and ask them to send you the WAP and GPRS settings.
These will come as 2 separate txt messages.
open each message and the phone should promt you to save the message.
save each message.
then go to your browser settings and set your provider as the default or prefered setting.( this should get internet working )
for the pics you will need to send a pic to yourself first to activate the settings between the phone and the network
