I upgrade my psp in version 5.01, now i cant play my games

the PSP has to be hacked in order for you to play downloaded games. If you get a magic memory stick and a pandora battery it can be done easily even with the 5.50 firmware version. Google pandora battery, and magic memory stic or (psp mmj tutorial) and you get lots of good info.

Hope this helps.

Cannot play games and can't go to recovery menu

To be honest my friend you would have been better off going to 5.00 M33-6, There's no direct solution but it's probably best to have a look around this following website!

PSP WONT PLAY SOME DOWNLOAD GAMES

For every newer game released you have to install the newest M33 firmware. M33-5.00-4is the newest. Check out www.pspiso.com. You can get the newest firmware and games free. Best site I have found. Hope that helps.

Trouble playing a game on PSP while on the TV

I haven't got a tv which is good enough for the psp componets cable. But as sony psp manual says, http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/settings/index_videoout.html you probably need to setup your tv for the correct display type, not only on your psp, BUT ALSO YOUR TV SETUP!

Good luck.

Cant get games to play on my sons psp

This may be a number of problems. The disc might be scratched or damaged. Or there could be dust on the leans.

You say it's a second hand PSP? In that case, you may need to repare it. I'm not quite sure where to go to get repares. Sorry.

PSP Problem - Help Please

There's nothing to do with the firmware, I am 99% sure you have a hardware failure with your L trigger or R trigger, try to go to the nickname section, give the L and R couple of taps, and see if you can enter any text, note, if you can enter something within a short time, that means you got hardware failure with your L or R, if you psp is still under warranty, go for a replacement.

Btw, this link come with my answer to another similar problem, enter a game, while it's running, press home button, and see if you can move the cursor between "yes" and "no" , if you cannot, press the R trigger or L for couple of times, and see if the coursor starts to blinking within a short time, if it blinks, I am sure you have hardware problems with L or R.
