From my research, you probably have an ASUS motherboard. Which means, 1 long-2 short beeps means a Video Adapter Error. Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly. If everything is connected properly and it still isn't working, this may mean that you will have to purchase a new video card. Not too expensive to replace really depending on what kind of graphics you are looking for. Check out www.newegg.com or www.tigerdirect.com or www.zipzoomfly.com These online stores will likely have what you are looking for.

While booting the tower, it is beeping 5 times (instead of one time) - short break - beeping 2 times. there is no signal towards the screen...

Those are beep codes. Going to need to figure out what kind of motherboard it is, and look it up here: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

The sound of hardware failure is too happy, imo.

Hi there, So, my problem is the following: My pc worked well until i changed my cpu cooler, it didint turn on, i hear only two short bips after i pushed the turn on button (during this the leds are...

Sounds like the CPU may not be seated properly, did you remove the processor when you replaced the cooler (Heatsync I assume you mean)?
Try powering down and unplugging. removing the heat sync removing the processor. Re-seating the processor making sure it falls into place. then re add the thermal paste(if needed) and heat sync. Check the memory and video card to make sure they are firmly in and then power back on and see if it will boot.
Another thing you can do is check your motherboards manual or website and there is a description of "beep codes" that you can listen for yours and see exactly what its telling you is wrong.
Good luck

these are the meanings of those two beeps u're getting:
1 short beep : Normal POST - system is ok
1 long, 2 short beeps : Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA)
if u're still hearing 1 long and 2 short beeps then try to swap the MDA, CGA adapter around, if it is ok then that is the problem...MDA and CGA is just like the VGA card they supplements each other. replace MDA/CGA card with another then see.
