Gateway Tablet PC Pen gets stuck in pen holder

It's a brand new computer of a few months and the pen just started to get stuck in the holder. It won't spring out the pen like it use to. Should I just bring it in so someone can take a look at it?

Mine isnt coming out at all I cant een pull it out....and it is no longer under warranty i think I have had it for a little over a year but I cant get my pen out

keep small tweezers or a pin close buy. Be careful because using a pin will scratch the pen, but I would rather have the scratch over not using the pen.

Assuming you are running Windows XP Tablet Edition:
Go to Control Panel Select Tablet and Pen Settings Tap the Calibrate Button
Follow the instructions.
There should be a similar Tablet control in the Control Panel for other versions of Windows.

Although it may be tempting to open the box and start playing with your <b>Tablet PC</b>, one of the most important things you should do is calibrate your pen. This means spending time with the pen after a few steps to ensure that the tablet PC pen knows the touch screen is used. Tablet pc pen isnt working its moves around when i put hte pen to the screen but its like theres no pressure it wont click

A common problem with touch screens on Palm Pilots is contamination getting under the edge causing pressure that fools the screen to thinking there is pressure under the lip of the bezel. There MAY be a similar thing with your tablet PC.

Gateway tablet cx200X, tablet features won't work/ pen etc

All, There is DEFINITELY A PEN IN THE CX2620 stylii. I just replaced mine with a AAAA battery. The old one (which is a AAAA size, you can find these inside 9-volt batteries) had acid buildup on its positive end and that is why the pen went inactive. There is a lot of debate over this pen problem and I guarantee 90% of the time it's related to the battery. I can do a clean replace on anybody's CX2620 pen/stylii with a fresh battery for $10. If interested email me at kevinteman@hotmail.com . You pay for shipping, your total about $17 or so. I have never done this before but I just replaced mine flawlessly so I can do others. I know there are a lot of dead stylii out there and people don't know what to do, took me a while to figure it out.
Thanks, Kevin Teman kevinteman@hotmail.com

My Wacom Bamboo Tablet Pen: only the pen was dropped. Now the eraser works but the pen tip does not. Neither do the buttons. The tablet itself does not pick up the pen tip's presence, but it works perfect...

Try replacing the pen nib. Take out the little nib with a tweezer or something along those lines and replace it with a new one. There should be a few of them when you bought the tablet. Also, try looking at the tablet properties.

Where can i download sofware of gateway

For your tablet to function again, you'll need the WACOM tablet driver which is NOT provided by Gateway, since they do not manufacture the tablet themselves.

You'll need the following drivers from the GATEWAY site to fix your button issue:

9524572.exe - Gateway M275 Button driver, version 5.01.2600.2156

and from the WACOM site you'll need the Tablet PC driver.
-Go to www.Wacom.com
-Select your location and language on the right
-On the next page, choose downloads from the top navigation bar
-In Step 1 scroll down and pick Tablet PC
-In Step 2 choose your operating system
-Follow the download instructions provided on the site from there

Will a Bamboo Pen work on a Toshiba tablet pc M200

^The question is NOT asking about a USB thumb drive, and a lot of people seem to have failed to understand this.
This is a comprehensive forum thread regarding digitizers that work with Penenabled Tablet PCs: http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/showthread.php?t=12695
I don't believe Bamboo pens work.

Gateway Pen Drive .... not recognized on Windows XP

@Enquiry: It's a USB 2.0 pen drive, which might not backwards support USB 1.1 without drivers. Many computers have USB 1.1 out one end of the case (back) and USB 2.0 out another (front).

Thinkpad tablet pen problem

It could be a problem with the pen but I am not positive. I knew someone who had a problem a little different from this but involving the pen not working how it should. They called the company they got the laptop from (Gateway in their case) and they were sent a new pen for free. Lenovo might do that if it's under warranty or you could buy a new pen. It could be a problem with the drivers, though, in which case I am not entirely sure what to do. Maybe reinstall?

Gateway tablet screen does not respond to pen.

I have a Gateway CX2724 and previously had another Gateway tablet (model I don't remember) but they both look alike and use the same pens. I've had 3 pens and they all periodically stop working. When one stops, I pick up another pen and work with it so that makes me think the problem has more to do with the pen. (They have all died and later come alive.) Sometimes though I can't find the extra pen and have resorted to removing the working pen tip / nib and reinserting it very snugly after wiping off the shaft. The nib is held in merely by friction. You can remove it by pinching its little tip between your fingernails and pulling it straight out. I wipe off the shaft and put it snugly back in. Sometimes I don't take it out, but just press it harder into the pen by pushing it firmly onto a padded surface (so that the tip doesn't deform.) Usually one of these "treatments" works. I know that extra nibs are available with the pen. There must be some reason that the manufacturer thinks they may need to be replaced periodically. But I've never seen any documentation on this.
