Remove the SD card and powercycle. if still no luck - with no card in it, press reset button at the bottom of the device (hidden behind a sticker but labeled with "reset"). put the card back in and powercycle. if still no luck - the device is dead :(

this is a touch screen problem and it is known as lower dead strip. These screens a capacitive screens and does not require calibration. Please search "iphone touch-screen" within the fixya and there is a solution for that.

  1. Gently push the end of a thin object (such as a pin or straightened paperclip) into the Reset hole.
    The reset button for your player is located at the bottom of the player, to the left of the sync adapter port.



  2. Refer to the article below to access the recovery mode and perform a Clean Up.

Are you getting an error on the screen?
Does it freeze on every game?
I would also contact the person who sold it to you...see when he bought it ..it may still be within a year...and covered by Nintendo. Hope this helps
