Could I please have the make and exact model # of your printer ? I beleive 5200 is the series and not the exact model #. Also may I have please have your operating system ? I would be happy to get your driver.

Cannot install

I don't know what you mean that it is not available. I assume that you are simply trying to select an available printer on Windows?
You'll need to download and install the driver here. Just select your OS:

I have a new computer. It has windows vista home. Does not recognize my disc. I have a Lexmark 5200 Series printer that I love. It is not on the list. Can you help me load my printer?

Hey jean,

Lexmark 5200 is not supported on vista, i guess lexmark was too lazy to make the drivers. what you can try is : to download and use the drivers for the 5300 series from the link http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

i hope it works for you

cheers

Service error 5200.

The 5200 series error indicates an unrecoverable hardware error. Canon does not have any specific recommendations or further information to advise on this other than to unplug the printer for thirty seconds then plug back in and power on. If the error still remains unresolved, it will likely be more cost effective to replace versus service.

My windows vista Business cannot install my Lexmark X83 All-in-one printer!

Lexmark is not officially making any driver for the X83 that will work with Vista because its a 32 bit printer and Vista is 64 bit. Sounds like some BS to me. So, I have the same problem, a perfectly working printer and an incompatible OS. My Mom was using an old mac and had an X83 printer which she loves. She now has a new PC running Vista. Only now, I have the problem of how to get the X83 to work with Vista. Supposedly the lexmark 5200 drivers will work. My suggestion is to power off and unplug the USB cable to the X83, and manually remove any driver(s) related to it that may have been installed using the system control panel device manager. Then attempt to install the xp driver for X83 per the post below. I'm going to then plug in the USB cable and power up the printer and see if it works (it probably won't) but I'm hoping it'll then cue itself looking for the 5200 series drivers which supposedly do work according to one post on MS forum, I quote:

"After reading all these posts I was both discouraged, but more determined than ever to get my X83 to run on Vista. I have to say the determination payed off! That's right...I just both scanned and printed 7 pages on my X83 running on Vista!!!! Here's what I did. I first installed the XP driver for X83 hoping I could dumb my laptop down to make it run on an XP version....no luck there, but when I did that, my laptop recognized the X83 as a Lexmark 5200 series which is also an all in one. I thought, well, if that's what it wants, that's what I will give it. If you go to the Lexmark website and look under downloads/drivers, there is a list that shows all compatible OS. The 5200 series is listed here with a Vista compatible driver. Once I downloaded it and went through the installation wizard....it worked LIKE A DREAM!!!! I hope this helps all of you as I also understood and felt your frustrations! Good luck!!!"

Using JETCET Print with OKI C5200n Printer

The OKI 5200 is a 'GDI' or Windows only printer and does not support PCL or PostScript languages.
Most if not all of the printers listed support either PCL or PS or an inkjet based language.
I'm afraid you will not be able to print the the 5200 without it's driver loaded on the PDA.
If the 5200 supported PCL you would be able to choose any of the
Color HP Deskjets.
